When you buy a defender you expect him to be able to defend first and foremost. He has shown he is better than our recent right backs in that aspect. Going foward he can get better.

When you buy a defender you expect him to be able to defend first and foremost. He has shown he is better than our recent right backs in that aspect. Going foward he can get better.

His stamina is the main thing. Aside from his mistakes which were unacceptable too, aurier was the better football (albeit Emerson only 22), but Aurier never used to get up and down like Emerson can which is huge for positioning etx

Sell everyone of them.

I admit I’ve been guilty of over hyping this squad as on paper it looks good but it really isn’t and I’m on that page now

The only one from your list id keep mate is Gio….I know he has had chances but he does have ability and dork rate ….just need to see it consistently

I give up with ndombele now ….if he can’t dictate a midfield against that lot then he really does have zero balls

I can’t watch Dele play for us again ….I’ve never seen anyone of his age drop off a cliff so fast ….again all about effort and he can’t be bothered …..he is a millionaire already and doesn’t seem to like football as much as his bloody hair

I’m still so angry …thought a few articles and rants on here would improve my mood but nowhere near

I see Kane has said the usual crap….not good enough, we need to learn blah blah …..shut up with all that , sick of hearing it

Genuine question but has there been a worse signing in the ENIC era than Matt Doherty? For me what just exacerbates it is that there were some really good right backs available in the summer we got him.

Yeah him and Romero look good signings

Royal is a perfect wingback as he doesn’t stop running and is very powerful

Not the quickest but not the slowest either and I think he will get better going forward and is solid defensively

Atouba and the Brazilian guy who lasted all of one game. Was Toda Enic era ? Was Raziak?

We have had some shockers over the years. I remember under George Graham going to Pride Park only to see that we had got Andy Booth in on an emergency loan and he was starting - we lost 2-1, Taribo West kindly donated an own goal to our cause. That was a dark day.

We sold Walker Peters, an academy lad the same window we got Doherty (and kept Aurier).

Never understood some of the excitement when we got Doherty. It was an awful signing from the off, especially given that Mourinho was our manager at the time and he was never going to deploy him in his preffered. Just such a typical ENIC signing and as usual we are now paying the price for it.

We’ve been saying the same thing about the squad players, for the last 2 seasons now,..
The results against Rennes,Royal Antwerp, Mura etc proves this...
Time & time again Doherty, Sanchez, Davies, Winks & Dele Ali let the club down...
They are the first 5 that need to go ASAP...
There are a few more that are in last chance saloon :
Gollini,NDombele,Lo Celso, Sessegnon & Bergwijn...

That’s nearly a whole team of players... it’s a bloody complete & utter disgrace...
