RIP Ray
I watched him play many times for Arsenal , him and John Radford were a great pairing. I was at Whitehart Lane when Ray headed the winner that won us the league in the 70/71 double season . Great times

A very fine player who sadly had a complex, troubled and lonely later life...RIP Ray.

Shame ( but entirely unsurprising ) the papers / media only see him as a "Liverpool legend"
Mirror, Express and Star all promote him as a Liverpool player, all with pictures of him in their shirt. Guess he didn't play much for Arsenal eh ?

Ray Kennedy scored in Arsenal's 3-1 defeat at Anderlecht in the first leg of the Inter Cities Fairs Cup Final 1970; Arsenal won the second leg 3-0 to take the trophy. I think this gave the team belief and paved the way for their Double winning season in 1970/71. He scored 19 goals in that League One campaign, including the winner at White Hart Lane to take the title. He was in the team that beat Liverpool 2-1 in the FA Cup Final a few days later, making him an Arsenal Double WInner. RIP
