I think it's happened too many times to be coincidence but this going negative after going ahead just shows Arteta up for being what he is extremely limited in his ability to get this team playing. I mean the choice to play Elneny was literally because it worked in the same game last year if Lokonga or Maitland Niles had played there would of been no one saying jeez you should of played Elneny. I don't think he was the right man but it's so bizarre that they have backed a novice in the transfer market and yet gave very little to Emery to spend minus the Pepe deal and that was a player Emery didn't even want.

It's like the club are trying to do everything right, they're essentially ticking boxes without actually looking at what is happening on the pitch itself.
Thing is, if football was as simple as; pick any manager, back him financially, back him in the press, keep saying there's a plan etc etc then every club in the world would do it.
But the reality is a talented manager who knows what they're doing is usually what separates success from failure. Arteta has shown zero signs of being a manager capable of matching the clubs size, finances and ambition.

See the mess Everton are in due to FFP, similarly like Arsenal to spend you have to generate funds theres not many players at Arsenal worth over 50 mil if any
If Grealish is worth 100 million then you could put Smith Rowe and Saka in a price bracket of over 50 million easily right now. I've always believed Martinelli has star quality and would be worth a significant amount if it hadn't of been for his mismanagement by the current manager. There are assets there at the club while I wouldn't want to see any of them leave but if money needed to be generated to re-invest it could be.

Would've been a huge improvement but I'd honestly rather go for a more attacking/entertaining manager even if it's not as successful trophy wise
Arteta is doing great job give him time no need yo panic we are fifth and above that lousy ageing slow team that we almost beat at their turf with our new still inexperienced young team.

You're about where you're expected to be, you've got a good but not great squad and you're getting good but not great results.
He's spent a lot of money because he had to do. You can't just spend x amount of money and expect success because other teams like City and Chelsea have, their squads are far above where yours is.
It seems like there is a clear structure to how Arteta wants to play and you look as if you've found an identity in the transfer market as well now, no point tearing that blueprint up just because you've lost to sides that are better than you in recent weeks.
