Value for money wise Sa is right up there with Moutinho
Come on lads, how about going for the win eh?
Not sure if that's a bonus point or a missed opportunity to be honest.
Good point I would say, we already know we struggle going forward but at the other end Chelsea didn't do much either.
You have to say, Wolves are an extremely organised side. The defence is rock solid, and Sa, ready to tidy up an loose ends.
We have played three top teams, and could have earned three points instead of the one. Haven't quite got it right going forward, but you can see the potential.
Seems odd to say but I think defensively we actually seem better than we were under Nuno.
Attack is a big problem though and with the players we have I am not too sure how that changes. That said Bruno has to take some blame for the poor efforts against the lesser sides like Norwich.
Pleased with our point today
When I saw that Semedo had been dropped for Hoever I was a little disappointed but I think Hoever played well and didn't look out of place at all.
I thought the subs came too late to be of any real use again. Actually was disappointed for Podence being taken off when he was clearly our best attacking threat. I would have taken off Jimenez earlier.
Yeah should have been Jimenez for Traore. Jimenez good first half but faded second half quite a bit.
Hey Goldi, how you feeling man?
Very good performance in the first half when we deserved to be ahead. Backs to the wall stuff for most of the second half
Unlucky to have the goal struck off after an excellent move set up by Moutinho and Marcal. Then Chelsea should surely have had a man sent off when a handball stopped Podence having a clear run on goal. And Dendoncker should have scored with a free header
After the break Chelsea dominated possession but rarely looked like scoring especially with Sa looking so good in goal again. Another occasion when Bruno made his subs too late. It was clear we were struggling to make any inroads and a change was needed a good 15 minutes earlier
But a good point against one of the top teams, we just need some help offensively to turn one point games into 3
Bruno Lage on Willy Boly's latest absence: "I think I will give more time and space and then we can say something more clear. What I know is that I’m struggling since the first day with just three central defenders & they are doing a fantastic job." Hmm. #WWFC
Interesting
What the hell is the thinking behind this delayed flag for offside. If a player is offside he's offside and no matter what happens subsequently, he's is not magically going to be not offside.
It took 23 minutes for the lino to raise his flag when Podence scored today, that's pure shiite! Just seen another couple of delayed flags in the Spurs v Liverpool game. I just can't see any benefit from it.
It is frustrating but can see the point. Suppose a player is offside but them the opposition break and score. Stoping for the offside would prevent that.
That’s a fair point wulfrun
What I don’t understand is what is allowed to happen until the flag is raised. Saw two games recently where an offside player was tackled and his team were awarded a corner. If he had scored var would have ruled offside.
There was an instance today where Chelsea took a free kick for offside, inside the wolves half. We were saying let them score cause it would have been brought back. But would it
Yes I, and about 25,000 people in the stadium, saw that free kick. Unfortunately the ref and his two assistants didn't.
