I wouldn't go too mad, we put out a very sub-par midfield that you guys were able to cut through like butter.
Was impressed with Spurs but we made it way too easy for you in a bad day for us.
If Kane gets sent off we beat you comfortably IMO, but he didn't and Spurs were the best I've seen them in some time.

Liverpool were not good enough yesterday, no.
Another honourable mention for Dier. Quietly going about his business without making mistakes, winning tackles and headers, and also playing some really decent balls over the top.
For every first choice player Liverpool had out so did we.

Tactically the 5-3-2 worked a treat. Also a lot of players who have been at best mediocre played their socks off. I never formed much of an impression of him at Chelsea, but that was very impressive.

To be fair, much of the success we had was bypassing your midfield and exploiting the space behind the full backs with more direct play.
For me it was superb tactics from Conte and well executed on the pitch, other than some of the finishing.
One often looks at Liverpool and thinks that their weakness must be the fact their FBs play so high, but teams are so often unable to capitalise....We did, repeatedly, especially on TAAs side of the pitch, and the reason why i think we saw a really effective Dele was because he was allowed to do what he used to do, ghost forward into those spaces, coming from midfield being hard to pick up. It was Dele of old and IF ONLY he tucked that chance away

Luckily for you guys your missing players seem fairly spread across the park unlike us where we had all of our attackers, basically all of our defence and then none of our midfield
We do get quite unlucky in that respect.
We have been kicked out the Ropey Conference League and lost 3 - 0 to Rennes 🙂.

The equivalent of our missing players would have been....
Salah (Lucas)
Fabinho (PEH)
Henderson (Skipp)
VVD (Romero)
Robertson (Reguillon)
So I am sure you would rather have Salah starting than Thiago.
Back to the article. Out of the above players the only one I would sell is Ndombele, along with Sanchez and Stevie B. Could include GLC and Kane as well. Everyone has a price.
In regards to Winks and Dele in particular, I want if they can produce that type of performance over 4 or 5 more games.

I was drinking from midday, but I am sure I saw both Reguillon and Skipp on the pitch.
And Lucas Moura for that matter.
Interesting that GLC not getting a look in under Conte, or really Stevie B, despite missing first teamers yesterday.
Our formation yesterday was a bit more 532 and i think that suited our midfielders more and Winks had more options ahead of him.
While I like NDombele, he just aint suited to Conte or the PL IMO, we really could improve in that part of the pitch with a decent buy, doesnt need to be a world beater, a quality dynamic box to box sort would be very good....that lad from Brighton?
I liked our formation yesterday, i think it showed that without PEH, whose passing is limited, we looked far more threatening. IMO we should look to move away from a Skipp PEH pairing, its too negative.

The players who came in done well. It remains to be seen if they can carry that motivation through the rest of the season away from home. It looks as though yesterday could of been a turning point and hopefully Conte can keep the whole squad keen for the remaining games. I think he will.
Dier had a good game again but we'll need another CB. Romero, Dier and Davies are okay but we'll need extra quality to keep up up the charge. Sanchez needs to be shipped out, he's a walking calamity. What was he doing yesterday when he let the ball go through his legs? Very strange.
Good news about the ECL. That levels the playing field.

I do believe obviously that Conte has improved massively the way we are playing, so much more energy and commitment in the team, how much is to do with new manager bounce, and players trying to impress is too early to tell, January will be a big month for Spurs, if this lot can maintain there form plus a couple of good signings we could be back in buisness
