i mean its just lies u can go on youtube find replay and put it at 0.25 playback speed and both times he has one foot on the line or behind it. brilliant technique if anything.
Honestly, although it would have been nice to progress, the bigger problem is around who we even have left to put out in defence.
Soyuncu: Went off with a hamstring.
Evans: Career’s basically over.
Fofana: Returning from having his leg broken.
Amartey: Even if he’s fit for Sunday he’ll be off to the AFCON.
Vestergaard: Like a donkey running in quicksand.
Benkovic: Made of glass. Wouldn’t last a half even if we did play him.
Castagne: Missing tonight. Injured? Covid? Probably.
Ricardo: Went off after feeling his injured knee. Can’t stay fit.
Bertrand: See Vestergaard.
Justin: No sign of him returning yet.
Ndidi: Filling in; leaving shortly for the AFCON.
Thomas: Wait… actually he’s neither injured nor inept. That probably makes him next on the list.
It’s just nuts what we’re seeing right now. We need the whole club to go down with Covid for two months just to give us a chance of having some defenders to choose from.
The next two matches are genuinely about just trying to keep the scoreline below ten. We’re surely going to be forced to play some kids who aren’t good enough for League 2 loans yet.
Best of luck with that. Maybe make it to jn get some loans in or purchases?
Ricardo went off after a shocking challenge which could easily have been a red. Bet we won’t hear about it in the media though.

Our game management was atrocious yesterday. We went for it in the first half and we should have killed the game off.
But when we didn’t, Rodgers lost the plot, invited panic and pressure and as a result we lost our only fit centreback and potentially our best striker.
It’s not the defeat that hurts, it’s the way in which we caused all the problems for ourselves and now the next few games are in tatters as a result.
No idea how we can play Man City. 5 at the back means Vestergaard. 4 at the back means we could be torn to pieces.
This could be ugly.

We need to do what we should have done back in August and make a proper bid for Tarkowski instead of picking up a comedy giraffe.
We were relieved when Rodgers took Daka off. What was the reason for that? He even made Gomez look like Maguire pace wise the way he left him a couple of times.

Because he panics and doesn’t know how to see a game out!
I know I don't post much (ever?) anymore but if I ever see Vestergaard or Bertrand in a Leicester shirt ever again, I may have to start again - if nothing else than to just give me an outlet for venting my immense fury.
As soon as the Chuckle Brothers came on I knew we weren't winning this game. In fact, I fully expected us to lose.
How these two clowns have managed to forge careers as professional footballers is absolutely beyond me. What the hell was our recruitment team thinking signing these two?
Vestergaard - a 6ft 7 inch Rodney Trotter wannabe who is the only footballer in history to physically shrink when he jumps. Has all the speed of Nikita Mazepin riding a donkey up a landslide. £15m for a sh#t Jacob Laursen.
Bertrand - my god. I know we have had some bad full backs in our time (think Ryan McGivern, Robbie Neilson, that Dutch guy Lamey, etc) but I think this dude might be the worst. £50k a week for this bag of trash. He doesn't even look like he cares or is particularly bothered. I know he has had the disease and might be having some affects of Long Covid, but if he is he shouldn't be in the squad. As it stands, the guy is worse than a liability.
I don't want to see them in a Leicester shirt ever again, unless it's to play for the Leicester Prison XI.
Rant over.

Nice rant 😳
Good to see you post Foxello. I love a good rant too.
I’m not going to argue and pretend Vestergaard and Bertrand are our best players ever, but I do think there are mitigating circumstances.
Firstly, Bertrand looked amazing in pre season. His link up play and ability to make an impact in both halves of the pitch looked really exciting. Then he got Covid. And the rest is history, he’s been utterly hoop. Something has gone wrong no doubt, but I can’t believe he’s as bad as he’s playing.
On Vestergaard, I just think it’s a poor fit. I thought he was fine against Liverpool. Cleared his lines properly and didn’t do much wrong. The equaliser came about because two months defenders in Ndidi and Albrighton were asked to defend and didn’t. Ndidi got caught under the ball and Albrighton didn’t step in on the cover.
However, Vestergaard is clearly a sloooooooow player and needs to be in a deep block to succeed like Morgan and Hugh. We don’t play that and so he ends up looking hopeless. But for me his recruitment or our tactics are hopeless.
So what I’m trying to say is there’s no denying they’ve both been hopeless for us, but I don’t believe they are hopeless players.
Not like Ryan McGivern anyway 😂
It’s a deflection away from far deeper problems to
Just keep scapegoating them anyway, they didn’t cost us the match, the Manager did yet again.
