Vidic’s Chin still hasn’t twigged this is on the PL board and you don’t need to go anywhere near the precious United board to access it. Also dim enough to not understand why an article on Liverpool would attract Liverpool fans.

The age old problem of inconsistent refereeing which will never change.

And when VAR came out I said it would have the same issues. For example how does Kane get away with something far worse that what AWB was sent off for against Young Boys. And most of us agreed that AWB was a fair sending off.

It's more complex than it just being "worse". The rules don't work like that. It's about interpretation. You may look at the VAR review of the Kane and AWB incidents and think they are the same. But they are not. From certain angles yes, you can see that both are English. But from other angles you can see that despite being English, AWB is also BLACK. This difference is enough for the red to be shown to AWB and not Kane.

This is why these people are professional referees and you are not.

Also the AWB one wasn't an English ref so different, or you could say correct rules, were applied.

No. Definitely not a red card. It was a strong tackle but I thought he won the ball. When you are playing against top sides and fighting for points sometimes there’ll be strong tackles.

I think it's fair to say that if you put 'LFC' in the title, some LFC fans are going to take a peek.

I suspect MUFC fans would take a look, too, if it had MUFC in the title, but please don't take that as an accusation and get angry, it's only a suspicion, and it's not a hill I'm willing to die on.

He is young. He will learn from it. The young Englishman will learn that he can go in harder than that and get away with it. It just comes with experience, of being English.

Whatever happened to the retrospective panel review for violent or serious foul play.
If there is no VAR ,surely this should still apply.
Loads of incidents are now ignored, it's like no VAR is a charter to kick the carp out of somebody.
I am NOT relating this to the particular incident but more generally

I only caught the second half yesterday so I missed this. Bit of a nasty challenge and probably deserving of a red card. Thought Jota was lucky as well. Didn't realise there was no VAR in the league cup.

Never a red because Liverpool players don’t deserve red cards. We play beautiful and attractive football. That’s why Robertson’s red is a travesty.
