Love him.
For me we’ve gone from Poch > Conte and the stuff that happened in between has been erased
Yep, wanted him badly last summer, but so glad we now have him. He is a perfect fit for us.
He is doing slightly better than I expected. Didn't think he'd have as much of an immediate impact as he's had.
He's a world class manager and we're lucky to have him, until it inevitably goes tiits up somehow.
The line he keeps putting out there about the players needing to show him that they're good enough for him to keep at the club is class. A well needed rocket and the players have responded. It just shows how much respect he's already been given.
Yup but sadly its a bit of a contradiction with our recruitment policy. If we keep buying young commodities then they will always be emotional.
What he speaks of is maturity so we need to buy mature players with experience and physicality to cope with Premier league. Especially in the midfield.
Brozovic and/or Kessie should bring a wealth of experience to our midfield.
An experienced left footed centre back would also be an asset.
The thing I love about Conte is his obsession with improving more. He’s still not content despite us not losing a premier league game under him. He still requires more improvement and this is why he’s one of the best managers in the world.

Agreed mate
Over last five league games, second most inform team behind City, scoring 12 and conceding just three. Incredible turnaround.
Totally agree, next step is the ability to dominate possession and imposing our physicality and nous on the ball against the opposition. Pet hate is watching opposition teams giving us the run around and us giving possession away cheaply.
Am sure Conte will know the calibre of players required to start moving this team up to the next stage.
We need to start buying battle ready quality players. Next few transfer windows should be interesting.

Anyone else think PEH could really excell under Conte? or he will not get any better than he already is?
I'm entrigued to find out. He doesn't get much love but always puts in a decent shift.
PEH is a hard working plodder, can`t fault his effort and commitment, but he is ordinary technically and lacks pace. There is a place in the squad for him and he may well improve, but we need better as a first pick player in CM, and imo he is part of the reason we are almost always dominated in the middle of the park.

Another reason why we are dominated is because we usually only play with 2 cm's except for the Liverpool game. It's basically a numbers game. Most teams we play have a 3 man midfield.
Even when our full backs are high they very rarely tuck in. They are told to stay wide. Son and Lucus stay in their inside forward positions and track back when needed to.
We are basically a counter attacking team under Conte. We have the odd spell where we press but so far both PEH and Skipp do a good job of shielding the three CB's.
