Love him. He struggled after his injury, but it's all coming together for him now.
Arteta has developed him perfectly.
Very happy to have Martinelli
You could see the star quality in him right from the very start. He's already very good, continue on the same trajectory for the next couple of years he's going to be one of the best in the league.

That’s one of the few positives of his era, young players have been managed quite well and now shining.

A few months ago people were saying that he didn't manage the young players well
Best thing about that clip is that once he's won the ball, he doesn't stop to admire his work. Look at the intelligence in his play once we have the ball in possession. Makes himself available to receive the ball, plays a relatively simple pass to Ødegaard and then busts his gut to try and get into the box. Only him and Saka do this - once Martinelli see's that Saka is running centrally to the 6 yard box, he diverts his run to the penalty spot for a cut back. On another day he finishes the move with a goal.
It's amazing play. People are starting to say that Auba could come back and fill this role.

At the time it did feel that way and future will tell. But this is one area he looks competent in so far.

He doesn't. Saka's played too much and Martinelli hasn't played enough. People seem to have forgotten how Martinelli debut and played his first few games. Arteta doesn't get any credit for the way the kid is playing now mainly because he showed up playing like that fgs, Arteta didn't "develop" SH!T! Martinelli's play is down to his god given talent and the coaches he had before arriving at AFC. By all means Arteta deserves a small amount of credit for finally getting his dumb ass and ego out of the kid's way and leaving him to play but that's it.
ALL Arteta ever had to do to see these kinds of results from his players, was have them attack more than they defend. They were always that good, it's just last season he was a constant obstacle in their way to showing it. So if anything he's held them all back by a year with his dire excuse for gameplay last season. And the only thing that Arteta is really currently developing well, is future major injury problems for Saka. He's a long way from fan approving back pats, or at least should to anyone who remembers what happened last season. I'm not saying never forgive him but fk at least wait until it's actually been made up for before you start talking like it never even happened.
