Weren't they the record holders anyway?
Still had a bigger crowd than Chelsea have had all season.
Cannot even sell out against Everton, 30,000 or something like that.

Chelsea 9 Premier league home games 332,559 total average 36,951 per game
Spurs 10 Premier league home games
545,664 total average 54,566 per game
Villa have a better average than Chelsea having played 9 home games
funny you mention Everton as they have an average of 37,905 having played 1 less home game than Chelsea but have had more fans supporting them.
Haha, stadium envy is alive and well. If Arsenal were honest about their gates they would comfortably hold the record.
I thought 40k was a pretty decent crowd considering the game was being reported as a nailed on cancellation up to that morning.

Anyone who support Spurs need to be vaccinated against Covid Trophy 19.
Levy has reacted angrily to the rent demand received from CFC: Quad stoppers, who claims that the premier league club have been living rent free in his head since the new stadium was built.

Still smaller than Spurs 40,000 though Brummie. Covid, tube strike, game not confirmed definitely on until a couple of hours to kick off contributed hugely to Spurs onkh getting 40,000 plus, when over 55,000 tickets were actually sold.

Hi Brummie,i know and trust you enjoyed your trip there the other day.
Dunno where you are getting this from
Our highest attendance is 40074 and average 39888
We sell out every PL game and would sell out a 60k ground no problem
But happy with our 40k ground as I can walk to it!
And commercial revenue is just as important as stadium revenue these days. Arsenal took their eye off the ball when they built Emirates and Chelsea over took them commercially

Yes mate, apart from not being able to get an away ticket, having to sit among the unclean and keep my North n South shut!
It's an expensive time for fans to get to all games at this time of the season with games coming thick n fast.
I think we're in the middle of playing about 8 games in 24 days - crazy!

Yes and crazy that we sell out all games; even on Thursday before Xmas in a hour or two
I’ve given up trying online for match tickets now and just contact Josh & co in box office for returns these days
I know I'm wasting my time but I'll give it another go (over the years I've explained this to CFC on several occasions).
Let's take today's Southampton v Spurs game as our example. The game was a sellout and I believe St Mary's holds around 30k however there were swathes of empty seats due to Covid.
Arsenal or West Ham would give the gate as 30k+ as they go by tickets sold whereas Spurs believe the attendance should be those who bothered to turn up and would give the crowd as 25k (I'm guessing it was around that figure) hope this helps.
As for Chelsea you are the European champions so you should be filling your small stadium with ease.
