Ronaldo has been dreadful in the 3 games under Rangnick but keeps his place.

VDB is literally the only player who can transition from attacking midfielder to central midfield and make late runs into the attack. He literally was made for this formation. I literally cannot understand the decisions. I might be the first Ragnick out poster. It makes no sense.

Absolutely! I do not see any balance here?
That’s probably the most attacking line up I’ve seen play with Ralf, if we struggle to score then I give up

It is very hard to break down 10 behind the ball so it is a distinct possibility.

That is going to become actual poison in the team morale, if it isn't already.

Or maybe neither Ralf or Ole see much in VDB to believe he should be starting.
Almost like Donny isn’t very good.

Only thing I can think of is that he gets bumped off the ball too easily in training. That's been his weakness in matches so far. Damned shame, as I thought we had a player.
Oh man, why not just play two proper no. 10s instead of 3 strikers again?
Jesse has as much of a case for starting as VDB, if not more, given his impact earlier in the season in a few games. Shame neither have been given a fair crack
Just bloody win and send us off into ‘22 in a good mood. Not asking much am I?!
LETSSSS GOOOOO!!!!!
Ralf is an interim manager. With the egotistical players we have it’s not a huge surprise if they’re just treading water until a real manager comes in. We’ll probably win today as Burnley haven’t played for years but I’d be shocked if Ralf actually implemented much before he goes.
I hope I eat humble pie but I see this team getting massively over ran.
Ronaldo, Sancho and Greenwood don’t work that hard out of possession and milk turns faster than Matic and Maguire.
I’m not saying Donny is a world beater but some of those playing put in stinker after stinker and still get picked.

Forgive me, this is bullsheit. Are they watching what's happening on the pitch???
I'm done with the excuses. I'm beginning to think the managers hands are being forced else VDB link up play in the crowded midfield formation that is 4-2-2-2 is perfect, enough to try him against one of the poorer teams when his starters who are training better are playing putrid football.
If upper management is not involved, then ole's incompetence has been transferred to Ralf and the one good thing is he will leave soon (sooner that he actually believes)

Why is it so hard to believe that VDB simply isn’t good enough? He’s become another example of a player getting better in the fans eyes the less he plays.
Excited to see Greenwood and Sancho. Hopefully both get 60mins+

He hasn’t has he, which would be understandable if we we’d been playing like City since he signed. But given the joke performances week after week, it’s baffling the squad players like him haven’t been given a go for a few weeks.
At least Telles and Dalot have had a shot recently and done pretty well
