Fans in Replica Shirts - Yes/No?

I'm 26 and still buy one but usually wear it for the gym/football. Tend to go out before/after games now so don't wear them to ibrox often.

I have the new black goalie top which is pretty smart and I wear that 2 the pub if the games on.

I agree with a lot of what you're saying.

I wear them sometimes, literally if I am stuck for something to wear I'll have to like..
..I wear them when I play football (Like you) and when I'm out etc, but I just think wearing one at the footy is a bit soft for anyone older than 20..

We recently had a deal that with every season ticket purchase, you'll get a free away shirt. The amount of red going around the stadium atm is unbelievable..

..Fianlly, away games are a no go for shirts, nuff said.

I'm from Glasgow so it can be a bit dangerous even at home games!!

you really need to grow up if this thread is genuine

i'm 20 years old and will wear my leeds shirt when i'm on my deathbed, it's my team and i can't understand anyone who is bothered by it

maybe if i'm running round at matchdays in a high skirt, high heels and lipstick you can cringe, partly because it would be weird on a woman at a game let alone a guy, you could have a pop, but wearing the shirt of a team you love?

really, grow up

I said wearing a shirt with a name on the back is cringey it's an opinion, and I respect people who wear shirts and I respect people who don't, and in MY personal opinion, I'm just not having overweight 45+ year oldpeople wearing football shirts

McMaccer, so you want these overweight 45+ to take off their shirts?

I am sure you can think of better things to fantasie about!

Get a grip man, or on second thoughts dont!

I do agree with you about putting someone else's name on your back though.

I think wearing a football shirt anywhere other than a football stadium/ pub while watching football/ or playing a sport is cringey.

One thing I can't stand is the 'quirky' printed names and numbers. Anyone who thinks getting 69 on their back is funny doesn't belong in the 21st Century.

Edit: I don't mind international shirts in every day casual situations.

They generally look so much nicer and you don't feel like a walking advert.

Hazsa that's why I don't like them, what I don't mind seeing 45+ blokes wearing is retro replicas from the 70's

I think this has got out of hand.

I was discussing with a friend about this topic and clearly gave my opinions in the wrong place whilst asking a question, like I said I have not gone out to upset anyone here...
...I wouldn't like to fall out with any of my 606 buddies on a page that's got out of hand.

It's a question and a debate I've seen many different times and I jsut wanted to see MK Dons fans views..

Maccer i am one of those cringe people you are talking about... Im 19 and have always had shirts, got Lewington 2 years ago, Chadwick last year and if Morrison signs a full contract I will get him on this years haha. I was even close to buying the pink goalkeeper shorts. When we were in the hockey stadium I had 2 full kits and still wear the shorts and tops now!

Personally I wear mine everywhere and dont find it an issue.

What I cant understand is that this posting has 12 comments already, yet the post about the game on Saturday only has had 6!!!!.
I am very dissapointed in th elack of postings and debate around our games at the moment.
Take a look at Huddersfields match threads, they regulary get in excess of 100 comments on these. Lets talk about our great footballing prowess and the matches in more detail...
PS.. I am a 49 year old replica shirt waering dad and I am proud to wear my shrt on matchdays..

Hazsa19, "Anyone who thinks getting 69 on their back is funny doesn't belong in the 21st Century. "

As long as the young lady is pretty, On my back, on my front, swinging from chandelier, I really have no preference, not sure what this has to do with replica shirts though

MKANDEE,

You are right, we don't seem to havel the same level of comments on JA that we used to on 606.

I admit I'm over 45 but haven't worn my away shirt yet. I think I will save it for a special occasion.

Furz, are you saying going to see MK Dons isn't a special occasion?

posted on 3/10/11

Of course watching MK Dons is special so I must mean extra special to wear the shirt
