I understand that some people are afraid of needles. Nothing to do with being hard or soft. I had a mate who almost fainted at the sight of blood, but you wouldn't want to fight him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn’t even notice the first one. It went in easier than goals against us when Ole was manager. The second was painful but only because I’m sure the woman hated me. Can’t see why 😏
If folk want to be anti vax that's their perogative. However be anti vax for a proper reason, not because of the lizard people or some utter rubbish you read on social media.
No one who doesn't want the vaccine should have to take it, but have a proper reason why and not some knuckle dragging uneducated garbage.

Antivaxxers are the type of people who wear crocs. And not only that, they wear socks with crocs. They’re the type of people who stand behind you at a traffic light and just after you press the button to cross the road, they move ahead of you and press the button again as if it’ll make the light go red quicker. They’re the type of people who walk miles ahead of you and hold the door open for you even though you’re a good 60 seconds away from getting to that door so you have to run when a perfectly good walk would normally do and then when you get there they expect a thank you and act all passive aggressive when you get annoyed at them for starting these little fights.
God, I hate antivaxxers.

I hate needles. Absolutely despise them. But I’ve still gone for the jab 3 times, you just have to suck it up. People sill find excuses if they have too.

I would briefly get a bit dizzy occasionally after a vaccine and am not keen on needles. But the simple solution is just to tell them you don't want to look while the needle goes in. They just stick it in and it's done in a couple or seconds (yeeeeowwwww). Though I guess phobias are often irrational tbf
Im glad the Djokovic case is making fools of antivaxxers thinking they get antibodies for life from Covid infection as his own claim is that he’s had it twice in 6 months.

It’s not ‘believing social media’ that’s the problem (believing social media isn’t a thing) it’s believing people without any credentials on social media that’s the problem.
Never had an issue with needles. However my dentist put one in the top front of my mouth that absolutely killed. Then he proceeded to cut my lip. Wasn't a good day at his office. (Never had an issue with visiting the dentist either, tbf).
I eventually decided to get vaccinated for several reasons:
1) To improve my employment prospects in case some companies discriminate. I'm not sure that such practice is legal but I can understand a company wishing to protect their workforce, whether that be for financial or humanitarian reasons.
2) When I do get a new job I don't want to go off sick if I catch the virus. Not a good start to a new job.
3) Responsibility to others. I do not wish to be responsible for infecting others if I am asymptomatically infected.
4) I do not wish my access to public places to be restricted.
The vaccs are free and don't hurt.
If, when I am fully vaccinated, I am still unemployed, I can offer myself for voluntary work to the NHS or local care organisations. I have historical medical training at paramedic level but would be quite happy to do menial hospital work if that would help.

The YouTube comment pages are a breeding ground for deplorables. Literally full of thousands of comments from the dumbest cucks on the planet. They all think there’s a UK army faction called the ‘77th brigade’ which goes onto comments pages and keep the ‘agenda’ going with pro vaccine comments so any attempt to fact check these people is met with ‘here’s the 77th again spreading the lies’.
Yeah. Okay mate, I’m the issue when you’re literally saying that the vaccines turn you into Satan.
Just pointing out the difference, Irish.

I know mate and you're 100% correct.
I would not consider myself an anti-vaxxer considering I've had both of my jabs, but I definitely displayed vaccine hesitancy.
The idea that we take a jab without any long-term studies is a worrying prospect. In addition, the potential manipulation to coerce others into taking it, cam only fuel fears and almost justify the anti-vax brigade. In my opinion, that's why they have grown further and managed to allude others into their way of thinking.
Ultimately, nobody should be forced to take a vaccine and the idea that if everyone took the vaccine, this would all magically disappear is ridiculous. Those vaccinated still spread the virus. In fact, I am surprised that Sky gave so much publicity to the Dr. that spoke to Sajid Javid.
I do think the pandemic will be over at some point this year, even if it’s just pressure from governments to get back to a certain type of normality so there will be a push for a herd immunity approach. A gamble but hopefully with a huge swath of the western world vaccinated it pays off.

There are long term studies though. MRNA has been studied since the 70s. They’ve been working on vaccines for respiratory viruses with MRNA for decades.
I've been ill 3 times since having the second jab.
Prior to either jab I hadn't been ill in years.
Now I'm not sure if that is jab related or because we were locked away for ages that my bodies immune system became weak.... But seems a bit weird.
I never went out before COVID anyway, unsocial I am.

Actually the 77th Brigade is indeed a real thing, but what that has to do with vaccinations I couldn’t tell you. It’s a good example of people picking something real & insidious (the 77th Brigade) & applying it to something completely unrelated to its real-world function (vaccination/Covid etc) to create an evidence-free conspiracy.
I remember at primary school being given the anti-polio sugar cube.
So was that actually effective and can modern anti-virus drugs be administered orally or be adapted to be? My medical training was nothing more than reasonably high-level first-aid. I am not a virologist.

Have to be honest I find the fact that "anti vax" is even a thing absolutely bizarre and a sign that we really do now live in a world full of self entitled, overly opinionated idiots, Social media being the biggest driver of this behaviour.
I dont really know much about the vaxs if im honest, couldnt even tell you what ive been given for my 3 without looking up the app. But for me, someone with absolutely no knowledge or experience in science/heathcare, I choose to trust those that have dedicated their lives to their professions in those areas.
It seems insane to me that there are those out there who can trust our health experts when, for example, they tell you or a loved one chemotherapy is the only chance of beating your cancer, a pacemaker being fitted is only thing that may save your heart, yet we cant trust them when telling you to get a jab which may give you some very mild side effect but will ultimately save lives.
I cant make my mind up if its just stupidity or complete and utter selfishness. Maybe a bit of both.
