We got our Brazilians fit and ready
We don’t have to justify anything to Arsenal, they can’t even beat Nottingham forest 🌳 ⭐️ ⭐️
The advantage is obvious, we will have more players available, that's why we asked for the postponement.
Weird article.
A confidence boosting win against Shrewsbury rather than a demoralising draw against Chelsea after being 2-0 up.
I don’t actually believe that, but it’s the best I could come up with

The usual putting down articles brigade is out in full force this morning I see. People who don't contribute articles shouldn't run around putting down those who do.
Good question by the OP.
If its not directed at you or if you feel its not a good enough article for you then why don't you fack off to another article, or better yet try to make your own article one of these days and I'm sure it will be the bestest article JA has ever seen.
Rant over.
The postponement has allowed Liverpool players who suffered knocks and who were on the mend to recover, as well as it give Liverpool the better chance of having the AFCON players available for when the game is re-scheduled for.
Klopp had the Covid card at hand and he used it. Like it or not, he just played the "game".
I think Arteta or any other manager would have probably tried to do the same but whether they would have got the same support from the authorities that is in doubt.
Players rested.
Unfit players returned.
Possible return of AFCON players for 2nd SF
win win win as far as LFC are concerned. Oh the convenience of false negatives.

This
Aside from the obvious health issue, is there a benefit football wise from having a false positive rather than an actual positive test?

AFCON players won’t be back.
Arsenal also had players rested as a consequence
We lose home advantage for the second leg.
False positive players still couldn’t play v Shrewsbury anyway.
Not exactly an advantage arsenal fans thought and cried about.
Arsenal had the greater advantage of having a full week of rest, and training, to prepare for their FA Cup 3rd round game against Nottingham Forest. 🙂

I assume this preparation allowed them to easily see off their championship opponents?
If they had false positives, they would still have been in quarantine so not available.
What's the issue?

AFCON players won't be returning before 2nd leg and Arsenal also benefit from your other points so where is the advantage?
Arsenal fans actually want Liverpool players to have covid
What a nice bunch

I’m a bit confused myself
Yes the obvious answer is players got a rest that they shouldn’t have had BUT Arsenal have had the same benefit
The only problem I can see is if Liverpool had injuries (not covid) that we’re keeping players out of the 1st leg but they may now be fit but I’ve no idea if you have any players fitting that category?

Still don't see an advantage to Liverpool.
