This sight drives me up the faaacking wall sometimes
Convincing yourself lamela was worth £25m so you can artificially inflate a 20 year old's price and use it as a stick to beat him with ffs

Fair enough. Let’s see where we are in a year and whether you’ll be bashing Gil for not performing. Even others on here are suggesting Lamela was probably nearer the 15-20m figure which still puts Gil at a valuation of 35-40m, which is just crazy high considering his form. Does it not worry you that Sevilla loaned him out the season before? If he were in the top three youngsters in Spain do you not think he’s get in that side? I feel sorry for the kid but he’s 20, not some fresh faced 17 year old. It reminds me a lot of the money Wolves spent on Silva and how that’s gone.
No it literally does not worry me at all. We did the exact same thing with Skipp, sent him to an even worse league in fact. The idea that every champions league calibre player was starting games for champions league calibre clubs at Bryan's age is completely baseless.
Writing off a 20 year old who hasn't even started 10 games for us yet is embarrassing
Lamela was probably worth around £10m

I'm surprised about Bergwijn - Conte has talked him up a few times and he was very good in his one start under him. With son being injured too I think it's a strange decision.

You can't decide to keep a player because another is out for three weeks
