19/12/2021 Liverpool 45,421 - Covid rate rife, just before Xmas so people concerned about catching it and missing Xmas
22/12/2021 West Ham United 40,031 - see Liverpool
all teams had lower gates that week.
26/12/2021 Crystal Palace 40,539 - Boxing day
9/1/2022 Morecambe 40,310 - its Morecambe ffs
12/1/2022 Chelsea 45,603 - the tie was already gone after the first leg so many would have opted out. Looked more full than that from where I was sat though....
full house v arsenal and attendances to rise from here
Yeah let’s all pay loads of money to go watch those ily-livered pansies do another no-show against our bitter rivals.

Until the dust settles and the super fans claim they can't compete with a team who have a £72m substitute and two expensive keepers.

You are part of the issue chronic. Stupidly paying £1,000 + for a season ticket and helping the cause. You have always been pro Enic and Levy, so it’s no surprise. Attendances will drop if the club do nothing this Jan.

I saw that West Ham posted a gate of 59,000 for Norwich, I doubt that was the true attendance
----
It was actually 59,775 and I think it was almost certainly true, see the article I posted earlier this morning about how easily I sold on my ST at the last minute.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Haha I watched some of the highlights last night and there were empty seats everywhere at the athletics stadium.
West Ham have an even bigger disparity between attendance figure and actual crowd than Arsenal.
I'm afraid Spurs honesty about attendances will always lead to misguided articles like this.
45k is pretty good considering we were never going to turn round 2-0 against Chelsea. I wouldn't spend 45p to watch a team that starts Doherty.
Son didnt play last night to the usual 10k South Koreans attending hit our attendance hard

I wasn`t there either.
To pitch this as some sort of protest vote is way off the mark.
The bigger the stadium the greater the number of casual/occasional/good times supporters you get. The hardcore 40k or so will always be there.
Add to that Covid and mid-week fixtures and the drop is not so unusual.
More a case of not being inspired to attend rather than some sort of protest IMO.
Same thing happened at Newcastle. Football is supposed to be entertaining, as soon as you start to not feel entertained and start feeling resentful you are as well voting with your feet.
I remember being in sports direct club shop after Ba was sold to Chelsea and they had the cheek to still try and flog Ba postcards with a derisory 20 percent off or something similar.
united had loads of empty seats v villa the other day... happens to all clubs at this time..
football poor and people a bit broke after xmas.
doesnt help that chelsea game wasnt covered by season tickets. nor was morecambe

why am i part of the problem?
I wanna go watch my team, win lose or draw. admittedly it hasnt been fun for a while now. but thats how it goes sometimes.
I am not always pro ENIC and pro Levy, I have defended them at times by reminding people where we were when we took over.
If anything, I have been more critical than most about Levy in recent seasons (basically since the summer of 0 spend onwards).
right now, you cannot really beef Levy... he has got potentially the top DOF / Manager combo in the world to come to spurs. He has done his bit. It is now up to Paritici to make the signings that work, and if that means that Papa Joe needs to open his dusty old wallet and inject cash then so be it.

I saw. As I stated, property portfolio is all Levy and Enic give a sh** about
If Spurs want to admit, we are on par and will compete with the likes of Aston Villa, Everton etc of this world, then half all ticket prices and none of us will have the expectations. Charge extortionate prices for utter s** on the football field and pretend you have the clubs best interest at heart on the field, then feel the wrath of the supporters when you fail to improve the team once again. A shambles
🥇| Some of the Tottenham players fear Conte could walk next month if he is not backed with new signings to improve the squad during the remainder of this January transfer window. @AlasdairGold
Disgusting this and no doubt true. F** sick of this football club under this chairman
Yep, I made a decision long ago not to spend another penny on Spurs until I see sufficient ambition from ENIC or until they fack off, with them facking off being the preference.
Who the fack would want to pay the highest ticket prices in world football to go and watch rubbish like Hojbjerg, Winks, Sanchez, Doherty, Tanganga etc. We are crap and can`t currently compete at the very top, I aint paying world record prices to watch that, no facking chance, I got sick of being mugged off by Levy long ago.

Surely to god they didn’t sign Conte and just think ‘yeah let him see what he can do with Doherty, Davies et al’. Surely there must’ve been conversations where Conte was told “we have £xxxxx to spend on transfers in the next 12 months plus anything we recoup on player sales“.
Surely, in appointing Conte in November we had a plan for the January window of positions, targets etc.
Look at how Villa have moved early to get Coutinho and Digne. They are now trying to get Bissouma, a player who we absolutely should’ve been looking at before. What are we doing? Thinking about buying Traore and converting him to a RWB? Kane looked facked last night having played 97 mins of a game that was dead at HT. Should’ve been brought off for the NLD, but we literally have nobody to send on.
The situation now is beyond a joke, a disgrace frankly. Levy’s position has to be on the brink here.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Honestly mate, if anyone makes excuses for the fact we are running Kane into the ground for the 7th season running, I’m literally going to go nuts. No club in world football does this. What the f** is wrong with our chairman ? Can’t he see we desperately need a striker ? Even more so now Son is injured. Instead he sits on his a** doing nothing whilst we drop point after point, then he scrambles around for loans on deadline day. He’s a c**. I hate him.
