Yeah, I almost certainly won't be paying a BBC subscription fee, I rarely watch any of their content.
Netflix, Amazon and Disney all offer much better services.
The BBC is a bloated service and a total waste of taxpayers money.
The whole "TV License" service is a joke, even if you don't want the BBC you have to pay to watch live TV, on top of your Sky/ Virgin/ Subscriptions.

Never got why people bemoan BBC employees salaries like Lineker's. He's on a ton of money of course, but they have to pay that or they'd lose him to another station.
Now could someone else does his job for much less money? Probably, but they also have to offset that by people they believe tune in to MOTD for people like Lineker.
The BBC aren't faultless but I'd wager a lot of people would stop watching MOTD if it was suddenly full of nobodies doing the presenting and analysis.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Disagree, think MOTD would be greatly improved if they plucked a random off the street to give their analysis of each game

To be fair sometimes I don't think they could do any worse
But ultimately humans are creatures of habit and there would be an uproar if they suddenly replaced everyone to save money. You only have to see that every single time they do update their presenters on any show or radio and they immediately get hit with trying to be "woke".

About time. They have done nothing but try and overturn Brexit and bring down Boris.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The BBC hosted all this parties?
ffs, some people are so gullible
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, god forbid BBC reporting the news. It’s despicable.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
People might argue that despite the parties in number 10 dominating the news for days, Starmer doing basically the same thing seems to have generated barely any coverage.
That's the sort of bias people are referring to, even if I don't agree with it.
Sometimes it helps to try and understand your opponent's viewpoint and discuss it properly. Not just disregard it out of hand...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, Starmer was grilled to high heaven on the politics show, yesterday.
and "doing basically the same thing" is a pretty loose interpretation. What he did was probably comparable to the garden party, which was not a particularly big deal... But the 40 person "bring your own booze" party was clearly next level.
Hopefully this shower won’t be in power by then
It's also obviously bigger news when the people settings the rules are breaking them.... If it were a labour government caught out, the BBC would be giving it just as much coverage.
The conservatives have been cutting funding to the BBC for years. And a quick glance at Dorries's Twitter account establishes the main reason for the proposals is that she, (and the government) are unhappy with the likes of the BBC and Ch4 as they have been holding the government to account.
The BBC in it's current format is massively outdated and will only continue to fall further and further behind the times. It's a mess and needs sorting out.
They've just spent over £85 million on redesigning the Eastenders set. Not a chance I'm forking out for a penny of that rubbish but that equates to over 500,000 TV licences up in smoke.
They can shove their aggressively worded letters as well.

Understand the set (Eastenders) was constructed in 1984, and designed to last 2yrs so was probably due an upgrade.
Not a fan of the programme but believe it is exported to countries all over the world.

A couple weeks ago, he said TAA was “good enough to play for Real Madrid, let alone Liverpool”. Now, I know we all love to criticise those lot, but that’s a ridiculous comment after the last three or so seasons
