I dont get why all these teams want so many games postponed, they will be end up playing 3/4 games a week at some point to fulfil fixtures, surley that will bring it's own set of problems?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Small sides like Arsenal are taking advantage of not being in Europe so they can try and fulfil the fixtures
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This

Arsenal just picking and choosing what fixture they'll fulfil.

If they face a depleted side, like all of those they faced in the league Norwich, Leeds etc Arsenal didn't postpone those games as they knew they are facing a depleted side

Right now because they are depleted they don't want to face any side.

Cheating Arsenal

We now have 3 cases with more to come probably

After the made up false positive story, surely the pool fans would understand
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Should probably stop loaning players out then

posted on 18/1/22

Yeah surely if there’s positive cases, should have a transfer embargo on arsenal until cases cleared up.

theres plenty of "break time" that arsenal can play this cup game in.

that means we get no "january break" like other teams

You'd swear by some on this thread that we didn't ever call off the original first leg here.

You'd swear according to some on here that we cheated and gained home advantage somehow on the other hand.

So childish.

the way I see this arsenal should be forced to schedule this game next Wednesday and LFC can at least plan for palace game and then get this cup out of the way.

Arsenal have called off the spurs game and now Burnley will call their next game off so they won't play until 10th feb unless some of these games will be rescheduled so they will have a long long time without any football which again is hardly ideal

The last time similar happened Klopp point blank refused to play a game in midwinter break as he said the players had already been informed and planned for this midwinter break.

posted on 18/1/22

Probably best Arsenal just let the league know when is good for them to fulfil their fixtures

We can then all work round that

bless their little hearts

get on with it. if we didn't cancel game one this tie could already be over.

if the EFL had got rid of unnecessary 2 legged Sf this wouldn't be an issue now.

if if if.

I'm sure all arsenals issues are totally genuine as falling form the great moral height they got themselves up on could be fatal. add in closing their training ground but being able to train at their stadium instead and being able to loan players out doesn't look that good.

The FA instructed sides to play anyone to get the FA cup 3rd round done. there were no cancellations.

We have sides basically benefitting left and right at this point so both the prem and EFL have made this rod for their own back so why should fans put up with it.

Its tuesday, I'm sure there are travelling fans who have friday off at work or have paid for their travel and that already who deserve to know the score. thats the people we ought to be concerned about.

Apparently there are no free slots between now and the cup final apart from the winter break. We also lose all our Brazilians as they have an international break for that two week spell, so there's no way we agree to play it then.

Arsenal must play or forfeit, its as simple as that.

If Liverpool didn’t postpone the first game, the tie would be over. Can only blame yourselves and your false positives. You had ONE confirmed case.

I’m still shocked Arsenal fans don’t understand what happened and think this is a valid stick to beat Liverpool with

All together now……..at the time of postponement Liverpool had what they thought was an outbreak ….game was quite rightly postponed

Should they have just played just incase they were false positives?

Yep this. It's really not hard to understand.

The probability of false positive for one player is very low. For 10+ players it’s almost impossible.

Liverpool played the system

Now that could be the case but does that mean Arsenal should do the same ?

To loan yet another player out after a postponement then the rumours are you are going to try and postpone again ….if that’s not a finger up at the league and everyone else I don’t know what is

I hope the league see through it this time

Yeah we loaned out a 5th choice CB (we already have plenty of CB’s fit). Let’s put him in midfield eh?.

As one of your mob said to me yesterday….tough shat ….deal with it

Are we saying the league need to take into account not only the players you have but also the positions they play in?

Clutching at straws in defending the indefensible

That's Arsenal's problem, why should other clubs suffer from the postponement?

Utter nonsense trying to defend something that is cheating act.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
No we didn't.

We had one confirmed case in that batch of testing after initially thinking we had more, but we were already missing Alisson, Matip and Firmino due to Covid, as well as Klopp.

We closed our training ground for 2 days and even called of our U18s FA cup game because of it.

Whereas Arsenal got a game called off because they had just one case in the entire club.
