Can’t even see any argument about the penalty that was awarded. Even whiney rsed Morelos knew what it was ffs
And they should have had that first one that wasn’t given either.

a handball when the ball is on target is a penalty and a booking

Hayes should've been off. Should've been booked for a barge on Kent then TWO elbows to Barisic's face, right beside the linesman. Barisic told to get off the pitch with blood pouring from his mouth
======
you cannot honestly believe this
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you think it's fine to elbow someone in the face?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes , yes i do ...infact i encourage it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh well carry on then
he booked McCrorie for a brilliant challenge on Morelos
clean as a whistle

It was a penalty for sure in this day and age. I thought the booking was strange though, clearly not deliberate.
Don't think there's any point blaming the ref, he made poor decisions for both teams. Just genuinely think Clancy is a horrific referee. There were 9 bookings and a red last night and I can't remember a bad tackle made.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not blaming the ref cos as I said Rangers were p!sh, however Clancy and the linesmen were horrific.

In fairness whilst I agree with this, whenever Rangers have had a couple of these there has been a lot of contention. Still remember Michael Stewart's "biomechanics" explanation.
what if the aberdeen player had thrown himself to the ground for a diving header and missed and then got a penalty for it.
would you be raging at that?
I'd be ragin at your face but I'd have a rager fur yer maw.

u would though wouldn't u.
player just dives to the ground into your leg for a diving header and boom, they get a penalty.
it sounds f...ing mental but i've seen it happen.
I'll take turgid every day if it wins trophies. Although since he took over I don't think that's been a fair assessment so far.
Gerrard focused on his two full backs getting forward at the expense of any wingers. GVB prefers wingers and is more conservative with his full backs as a result. Not sure it's particularly negative or defensive though, if anything in some games I think we have been too bold. He started last night with Hagi, Morelos, Wright and Kent.
Where I would criticise is that a bit like Tynecastle having gone in front I'd rather see us try to kill the game off than protect a lead and pick teams off on the break. Fine if you go in to the last 10/15 minutes to be sensible and shore up but trying to play that way for a full half will inevitably backfire at some point.
Clancy never had control of the game at any point last night.
Throwing cards about for the wrong reasons and letting other stuff go unpunished.
The officials were a shambles.
i can imagine its quite frustrating for rangers, i mean here you are, needing a win, and clancy doesn't even acknowledge it?
like, acts like he doesn't have a job to do. who the f... does he think he is not to bail you you?
John Beaton wouldn't have let u down like that, he would have seen rangers were in a predicament, watched a player go for a diving header, and then give you a penalty.
thats how stupid he is prepared to look to do his duty for rangers.

Was GVB a defensive coach in his previous roles?
I know it was 10 men but Lundstrum on to shore up seemed bizzare, and I honestly think he has instructed your full backs to not cross the halfway line or at least to be cautious going forward, that takes loads away from Tavernier and Barasic.
It's a tactic that can work but fook me its turgid boring schite to watch.

No but I thought he might have done that sooner tbh, hey-ho you had a bad night, I obviously hope its the start of a poor run but its more likely to be just an off night.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
i think we will continue to toil a bit without options like Aribo, Roofe and even Arfield tbh.
I am more and more thinking we need a quality option on the right wing if we are going to be a bit more assertive going forward.
