It's only a must win if a title depends on it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
or if the implications of not winning looks like it could be hazardous to your season . or give your rivals an edge
but again only in my opinion
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The odds on winning every game in a season are pretty huge and it's never going to happen.
Rangers have lost one game in 60 I think. An incredible stat. Big picture and all that.
First game after winter break, many first team players missing, a draw at Pittodrie isn't a disaster.

For Celtic and Rangers, anything less than three points per league game is a disaster.
Rangers were honking last night, and Aberdeen were worse. Horrible to watch.
Celtic have now scored the most goals and conceded the least this season, amazing turnaround from last season's debacle.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Absolutely extraordinary achievement from the team with several times the resource and spend of anyone else in the league
Ange is working miracles to hold down that second place.

nice.
say, how many cup finals have rangers been in since 2012?
i'd expect all of them considering they have several times the resource and spend of anyone else in the league...
slapped with your own sausage, how do you like that?
are cup finals the barometer now?
i'm just using your logic against you, with such resources rangers should be in all the cup finals, and losing to celtic.
which the last one they were in, they did, celtic won quite comfortably even with rangers being gifted 10 men and a penalty.
Last night wasn't a disaster
Disappointing result but we deserved nothing and took a point, would have been 3 if it wasn't for a bit of bad luck. Much worse results than a point at Pittodrie after playing schite.
Still doesn't mask the performance, worrying after a break as we know what has followed them recently. Momentum has shifted with Celtic getting in new guys and the us dropping points, we could do with making a first team signing with a portion of the Patterson bonanza to lift the mood.
Still if we win a couple it will swing back.
Last season was more than enough to keep us happy.
It was a thing of beauty
No because cup games are one off games where anything can happen. I'm not suggesting Celtic for all their resources should win every cup for the same reason.
Over the course of a season in league terms and 38 games though teams should generally be where they set up to be. In that sense Rangers absolutely should have been better in the years where they came third or even worse didn't get promoted from the Championship. I have that as an epic failure and Managers paid with their jobs as a result.

at the end of the day rangers are massively underachieving in the cups to the point where rangers fans are now having to pretend they don't want to win them anyway.
its quite embarrassing and quite frankly you should all be ashamed of yourselves for your pathetic behaviour and fatness.

You won last year with 6 games remaining.
16/17, Celtic won it with 8 games remaining.
Date wise Rangers won it earlier because there was no winter break.
However, Hibs won the 1902/3 season in December albeit with only 2 games to go.
Percentage wise Rangers hold the record from 1899 and 1990, winning with 22.2% of matches remaining.
