The issue is that we know what we have...and it is not enough in my opinion. Maybe at CM we can cope..but imagine Partey gets a long term injury and missed 3 or 4 games. He has had a few injuries since joining us so that could very well happen. We'd have Xhaka who can't be trusted to not give a chance away or pick up silly bookings and Lokonga who is not quite ready. I think we need a player in.
As for strikers, Laca looks exhausted and can't seem to last 90 mins, Nketiah is very very poor and Auba is out of favour and form. We have no striker who can score goals consistently and I think it is folly to depend on Saka or Martinelli as teams are doubling up on them now. Odegaard/Smith Rowe can also score. But let's be realistic...all 4 are young players and have not yet shown themselves to be consistent goal scorers. We need a striker who knows where the goal is.

The best I can see us doing I'd probably getting Aaron Ramsey on a 6 month loan on dealine day
Don’t see how we are not at least bringing a cf in, with Aubameyang set to leave an injury to Lacazette will leave nketiah as our only fit and available option. Shambles

What's happening with Auba now? Is he out for a while?
The manager wanted the player. Edu made the deal happen. But Kroenkes vetoed it.
Arteta didn't change his mind.
