Plus there could very well be more evidence. The fact she recorded the incident would suggest this wasn’t the first time.

Quite often upbringing and environment, cycle of abuse, lack of postive role models etc. and sometimes people are just by nature inherently nice/nasty.

Contrast with Marcus who comes across mostly as humble, unselfish and altruistic. Let's hope no skeletons there!

On another note ... the United Twitter account really needs to stop posting today.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think any skeletons in Marcus's cupboard would have come out by now
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Marcus was a bit of a roadman in his early teens. But nothing different to a lot of teens where he grew up.

Itl be swept under the carpet. United arent going to give up such a valuable asset.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You can't sweep under the carpet what the world has already seen. United's image is more important than one asset.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I mean it won't go anywhere. An apology, a settlement some.sort of counselling and he wont play until next season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There's audio recording of him r*ping/attempting to r*ape a woman. If he ever plays premier league football again it would be a disgrace
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Whilst unpleasant, the audio tells us he wants s3x, she doesnt, he gets angry. It doesnt prove any violence towards her.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He tells her to stop pushing him away. With his own words he proves that it was physical and that could likely be enough to prove attempted rape.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He could argue they were lying in bed and he was trying to cuddle. As i say, im not condoning his behaviour, but i dont think its a given he is charged / convicted.

As far as I am concerned the club have done the right thing by saying they will wait to establish the facts before they make another statement.

Probably good advice for most of you on here too.

Needs to go take himself to a clinic for a year of s3x therapy, anger management therapy, and how to be a human therapy.

Indeed- if the facts to point to him being guilty, what would you have the club do VC?

Im not comparing it. Im saying a person could paint a different picture if they chose to.

I think he's in big trouble. Not often the CPS have such strong evidence in a case like this.

Put yourself on the jury. How are you hearing it? Consider the agression in his voice. The fact he's told her to stop pushing him. Its quite laughable that anyone would believe he was threatening to go and sleep in the spare room.

Long way to go before a jury gets involved.

Not really. The CPS could charge him in the next few days if they think they have enough evidence. In which case there will be a jury.

We obviously need to hear the full story, but we've got pretty damming audio and the photos. If she gives a statement that he assaulted/raped/attempted to rape her, he's in big trouble.

posted on 30/1/22

Its a criminal offence rape. He could be a danger to other people. Police can charge him if they have enough eveidence to do sowithout her consent.

There are no charges made against Greemwood yet to my knowledge.

So best we all wind in our necks right now and stop being judge and jury.

It'll certainly be harder for them to get a conviction. The idea that he can bribe himself out of this is ridiculous though. Violence against women is a huge story at the moment and the CPS will likely see this as a big opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to keeping women safe. And if he is found guilty, the judge could be under pressure to make an example of him when it comes to sentencing.
