Could do with another homegrown if we're moving on Dele and buying more foreign players.

think we are down to the minimum now, but with GLC and Ndom out of the squad the two new guys replace them as foreign squad players.

Not the best situation when our new DOF only looks at foreign players and we are down to our limit.

We definitely don't need another player with attitude problems so if there's any hint of that with Spence we should stay well clear.

If it's performance based, and we know how well Dele can play, then him getting back to his old form will be worth £40m easily. If he doesn't then they won't be paying that much, so no harm done to them really.

My view is that Dele will never recapture his old form and by the age of 30 won't even be playing anymore. Seems that like Bentley he has totally lost his love for the game.

If Levy had a brain, signing Eriksen till the end of the season would have been a PR winner for a guy who's at the top of most fan's shltlist.... Zero downside, big game experience.. would have been brilliant for squad moral. No reason to expect him to be an automatic starter but losing GLC, Dele & Ndombele means there could be a squad place for another creative player

If for no other reason he could have replaced Kane on direct free kicks !!!!

I can't believe we haven't been in for him. If we lose TN and GLC then our midfield is completely and utterly devoid of creativity and that won't change with the two Juve lads. The lowdown is that they're not all that - one is a square passing, deep lying midfielder in the Skipp / PEH mould and the other is likely to be competition for Lucas on the right of a front three. Neither of which cover the positions of the outgoings.

We're stripping out creativity completely. This has not been a good window. Not at all. Our priority positions were RWB, centre half, creative midfielder and cover striker. None of which have been signed. You couldn't make up this level of stupidity. Paratici, for me, is a reactive kind of director - "who have you got available?" rather than "who in world football fits this position under this system best?". That's made painfully obvious by this last minute approach to transfers. For the last 5-7 years we haven't done many last minute deals. You know why? We were run well and we didn't need to panic.

This club has regressed about 15 years. I'd say we're now at the level where Jol took over.

the creativity is not from the CMs in this system.. he wants his Cms to be solid, combative, and have solid passing ability. if conte wanted a CM to float about drifting in and out of games, and then do a stepover and a through ball to beat a man out of nowhere then he would have played ndombele every game.

I am pleased to see Eriksen back playing football but from a personal point of view I am a bit worried about he whole heart stuff and am glad we didnt sign him.

You could be right, although I wouldn't be surprised if he had an initial resurgence at Everton under Frank. Frank could play him where he used to to try and get more out of him.

My point is that they were on the pitch. Chronic is saying that the creativity only comes from the wing backs which isn't true. Alonso and Moses weren't that creative. Son, Kane and Lucas don't create enough on their own. If you have Fabregas alongside Kante that's a good blend of forward thinking creativity and combative energy. We don't have that and we're about to sell our only three creative midfielders. I don't mind us doing that but for christ's sake, we need to replace them.

Club's a mess and I'm not gonna suddenly fawn over a couple of Juve rejects. Let's remember how poor the Italian league is now. They might have been at one of the best clubs but they were surplus to requirements. I'm not expecting much and given our recent recruitment history, neither should any of you lot.

What do we know about these two Juve players?
Are they any damned good?
Has Conte coached either or both of them?
If so, what did they do for him?
Do they go straight into the first team?

Well now Kulusevski is on loan from Juve, first to Parma and now to us.
He seems to score goals and he's had COVID.
One positive thing about Betancur is he started out with Boca Juniors.
