Due to Greenwood I would imagine
It'll be like a new signing.
The signing of Donny Van der Beek, where he hardly ever plays.
He isn't gonna play for utd much if at all and denies him a chance to help Newcastle out if relegation or West Ham into top 4, so great news

West Ham are never making top 4 this season with or without Lingard.

United are pretty threadbare and with that animal doing what he did it I can understand why United are keeping him.
Plus makes the teams that didn’t get him weaker.
The amount of transfers you need to do in the summer is incredible.

Eh?
It was his choice to run down his contract and it’s Newcastle’s choice not to pay what we’re asking.
The question for Newcastle is could he be the difference between 17th or lower.
They’ll only have to pay the larger sum if they stay up, in doing so the club will be generating a lot more than that.

Agree. Some on here were saying we should be letting lingard go for free, to help a future rival to stay in the league?
£12m was a fair price.

Oh dear I just realised how that sounded, what I meant is the glazers keeping lingard is like a new signing to them jokers
It still sounds moronic. They are losing money from having to keep him. And are losing even more if we have to terminate Greenwood’s contract.
Glad he's staying. I just hope he's going to get more match time especially with Martial leaving and Greenwood done.
Doesn't really matter if he's going to get more match time now as he's still most likely off in the summer. It's just good to have a bit of depth, especially to cover Sancho and Bruno.
I do feel a little sorry for Lingard because we've messed him around a bit but at the same time he's still our player and he'll get a nice signing on fee in the summer whoever he joins.
I’m glad he’s staying as I think he should be starting (some) games for us but apart from FA cup games I’d be surprised if Rangnick picks him ever.

If we keep him they'll throw more money on a contract offer for him, glazernomics, saves them spending 30mill+ and more wages on a replacement, i mean why is mata still here? For what exactly, they'll probably offer him another year so they don't have to replace him
You realise we lose money because you of our contract management? It’s incompetence, not a money saving exercise. We’ve spent as much money as City on transfers and wages since Fergie retired. This shouldn’t need explaining to anyone with the ability to access a computer.
Robb
Surely all depends on the form of Sancho, Bruno and to a lesser extent Rashford. If they're not performing then Lingard (and Elanga) are next in line to come in.
It's a good job we extended Mata's contract last summer, been really useful.
Don't see when Jesse plays plays since it's been reported Ralph wasn't bothered about him going, sounds like the board blocked it which is great in undermining the manager
