should still have enough money for a comfortable life, sadly

hopefully she gets every penny he has. proving hes guilty and its as bad as it sounds ofc.

Jay, there could be witness testimony and Greenwood’s own statements that are further incrimination.

posted on 1/2/22

They have probably examined his phone and maybe found incriminating messages.

It’s be very interesting to see what happens tomorrow. As has already been said, no charges would suggest they are maybe struggling to reach the burden of proof required for the rape and assault.

Has anyone from the 'Greenwood camp' come out to defend him?

There was also that agreement for him not to be selected for England—I thought it was odd at the time.

They'll all be doing as the lawyers have said and are keeping quiet. There's no point in making a statement really

His partner must have been sick watching him getting cheered on week in week out. She’s incredibly brave going through this fall out.

I expect it'll only be the club who'll make any reference to him. The players will have all been told to stay quiet.

Anyway....his lawyer will plead that he's been let down by his club...hasn't been picked enough, & has not been correctly shown how to spend ludicrous sums of money, & treat people with respect.

He's probably had a tough upbringing, & knows no better

Heaven help us if it turns out he's black

Yeah, he's very lucky he's black.

Famously treated well by law enforcement

Tbf I think we all heard and seen enough on Sunday to know it was all over for him. This only compounds it.

What a horrible person he turned out to be.

Well if we'd appointed Antonio Conte we could have swept it under the rug.

Wonder how many (if any) people within the club (and the wider football world) were aware of the seriousness of his misdemeanours when he was warned about 'timekeeping'.

He's done nothing in the game yet to have such an ego and now he never will.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but a section of the modern player base just aren't as likeable as players used to be.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Bring back the drinking culture, at least they had fair fights mostly, see Keane and Schmeichel for reference. What I would have given to see that brawl.

Or indeed a Greenwood and Schmeichel/Keane brawl for that matter.

Good luck to the lad, I hope he gets all the help he needs. I thought he was United's next hope, but true to the canon he turned into a right Darth Vader type.

So lads, it's the NEXT youngling that does it for us, right? Who is that gonna be then?

Up to 10 years for threats to kill. Although that would be rare. Could be as little as community order. Depends on aggrevating factors, such as use of weapons when making the threat, level of planning, whether kids were present etc.

There are no morals in football, he’ll find a club when all this is over and any punishment has been served because that’s what the industry is like.

Newcastle are linked to MBS who ordered the murder of a journalist and they were still able to buy the club, Lee Hughes killed someone after dangerous driving and still had a career, he was also charged with common assault later and still had a career in the game.

We’d like to think morality will take precedence but it’ll be Greenwoods ability to help a team avoid relegation or get promoted which will trump all else once he’s served his punishment.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If he’s guilty, the public outcry will be too much for any club to bother.
Murder brings out different type of emotion in people, I don’t think many are too bothered by that or even care
