I think if we do sign Trincao. We will regret it in a few years.
Chiquino, still young and shouldn't be judged too harshly, he has barely had time to settle in.

I dunno Tam, i don't think how we play and our options help him at times but when we have so few options we are asking a lot from our forwards and they have to deliver.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not just Trincao who isn't delivering though. Given all the talent we have in forward positions, we should be asking why they aren't producing not just assuming they aren't good enough.
I think if we don’t sign someone soon, we are going to regret it sooner.
Amiga is just excited about the opportunity to not sign someone.

Oh I completely agree. Attack wise we are pretty hopeless. It is also time to start to get concerned for Jimenez. We all hoped he would bounce back but sadly that doesn't look like it will ever be the case now.
Spurs just lost back to back games so the odds of us going there and winning is slim to say the least. Doubt they lose three in a row often either. Our defence looks shaky today as well so Spurs are going to carry a real threat.
Since the Jimenez and Jota partnership, we haven't really had a forward line that has delivered. For how good Neto was, he still only scored 5 goals last season.
I genuinely think it is the system we play that holds the forwards back more than anything.
I am just more patient. I want to see new players. But if we can't get the the players we want, I would sooner keep our powder dry, and bring in the players that can make a difference.
I'm sure we will be making signings in the summer. maybe not well known names, but another player or 2 or 3, of the quality of Sa, will do nicely
Vitinha having a great season to join the Pedro G school of regret
Will trinny be another inductee

Well for what it is worth, I would have kept Vithina and Pedro. The one time I saw Pedro play (cup game I think?) he was the player that caught my eye.
Sorry I'm not seeing the same thing with Trincao.

I think he will. The likes of Vitinha and Trincao are always going to be players we'd regret not signing. Can already play a role in the side, not overpriced in the current market and bags of potential.
I don't think Fabio Silva would have been. £35 million for an 18 year old who isn't ready to play? Even if he became world class 6 years later I don't think we'd have regretted not signing him for that at that time.

When did we last sign a player that made a difference
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tino we have signed a lot of players, who have made a difference, we wouldn't be challenging near the top, if we hadn't. The squad is actually really good. If somewhat shallow.
Trinny has superb technique and fast feet he just needs to settle and get his head up
The back 7 is holding us back the lack of energy in the engine room is holding us back
The lack of investment leaving us with the spine of the side north of 30 is holding us back, will fosun dig deep to refresh us

Lose at the weekend and I don't think we can claim to be challenging at the top. We'll be adrift of the top 7 and closer to 9th. Then it is challenging to be 'best of the rest'.
Jesus one defeat by a scrappy goal and suddenly everyone is a negative Nancy. If we don't manage to make a push in the next few games. It is not the end of the world.
If we do, then there will be plenty to smile about.
Not suddenly negative I'm sure we've been saying we're light for quite some time
No change from me. Talk of top six was always nonsense when you see what we have available. We are equipped for mid table and that is where we are.
It depends on your definition of light Tino. I would have called our squad under McCarthy light.
We actually have a very good squad, but it is somewhat shallow. Which I'm sure we will try to address over time.
Over time.
We haven't addressed it for three seasons.

Our midfield options are
Neves and moutinho
Neves and donk
Moutinho and donk
I may have missed some as there's so feckin many
Yet we sit in 8th place. One day you will give wolves credit, for the squad they have built.
Never seen anyone overhype 8th so much in my life.
