McClarens replacing him. A bit behind with news on here aren't you.
Been on holiday thanks. Got back this morning and its just come as breaking news on the BBC sports site
Get it right up him..
Kept you best player out of your squad for a season and intentionally didn't allow him to join Celtic when you could have used that money to bolster your promotion bid...
Well done Forest
Is Doughty actually trying to take the mick out of us? :@

There's nothing on here suggesting that he's going, or that mclaren is joining, so how am i behind?
It's on the OS not happy about Billy going, be even more unhappy if McClaren takes over !!!!
McClaren was even mentioned in the official announcement on the club site, so you can bet it is as good as done.
I admire Billy what he has done at Forest, took us from relegation fodder to two successive play-offs.
Despite his undoubted successes, he is his own worst enemy. Creating divisions and public spats is not something Doughty would or should tolerate. Hopefully this will ensure Boyd does not come!!!
Also, i doubt McClaren will have taken it if he wasn't provided sizeable funds! This is a high profile move and i think Steve McClaren will attract the right players to this club.
GOOD TIMES!
McClaren you couldn't make it up even if you wanted to take the mick McClaren
Yeah BigWesBoots,
Why would we want Boyd - I mean he only scored 6 goals in 7 starts. Bloody useless.

E-mail this to a friend Printable version Nottingham Forest have sacked manager Billy Davies with immediate effect.
The Championship club are now in talks with former England manager Steve McClaren about the vacant post.
BBC Sport understands McClaren was rejected by Aston Villa, and that he will accept the Forest job on Monday.
Former Preston and Derby boss Davies was unable to secure promotion to the Premier League after two attempts, losing in last season's play-off final 3-1 on aggregate to winners Swansea.
More to follow.
where's ur billy gone........WHERE'S YOUR BILLY GONE........
Saw that it was going to happen last night and it happened this morning. McClaren was with Doughty yesterday.
Forest used to be well up with the news on 606 but you seem to be well behind on here
caniggia - 'cause he is immobile, unfit and can't create a chance for himself. 'Boro were relegation fodder last season and didn't even want him. 3 of those goals were penalties by the way, the others were chances that a 6 year old could have put away. Utter garbage.
boring football football for forest on the way ?
Midlands umbrella salesman rubbing his hands.
I said when BD was appointed that it would all end in tears, McLaren is right for your club, he's the nearest thing there is to Brian Laws!
Did better than any of our other strikers Big Wes. Your description sounds more like Wes than Boyd. Goals are what matter and Boyd is a proven goalscorer. He's not my cup of tea either but I'd have him back.
