You’d think Newcastle will deffo stay up

So Burnley, Watford and Everton in my humble opinion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Burnley won’t drop, they’ve just taken points off United and Arsenal, whilst making a very astute signing in Weghorst. They have a couple of games in hand over those down there with them. I can see them stringing a couple of wins together.

Brentford are still in trouble, even Everton beat them the other week, Leeds need their injury problems to clear up and Norwich need their purple patch to continue. Long way to go

Watford have a nice fixture list. It’s a really hard one to call right now.

They could but I dont think they will.

Lampard headhunted Dele. He was his signing and thought he could get the best out of him again. That's bordering on delusion or arrogance thinking you'll be able to do something that the likes of Conte, Poch and Mourinho haven't and makes you wonder how good Lampard is going to be as a manager.

If he does get the best out of him again and the signing works then fair play, Lampard might as well be a genius.

Yeah going down and clearing out and starting again might well be the best thing for them Ace, but you’re probably right they won’t go down yet.

They really only have 4 assets for all they’ve spent. DCL, richarlison, Pickford and Godfrey.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The irony being they didn’t even buy 2 of those.

TBF Mina isn’t bad either
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s only DCL they didn’t sign isn’t it?

They signed him from Sheffield United.

No, they bought him as well, Sheffield United

He cost fack all. Pickford was about £30m, so was Godfrey and Richarlison was about £50m.

Lampard blew his big chance at Chelsea and he was lavished with all the money and support he could wish for. He had completely lost his way by the time Abramovic hooked him. I would be amazed if he turns it round at Everton.

Their owner Moshiri doesn’t seem to have a clue what’s required and acts like he’s playing football manager on the PlayStation. He’s turned the bitters into more of a joke than before he arrived.

Didn’t the alarm bells start ringing when Lampard asked for 40 Million to spaff on a washed up Dele Alli ? I can’t think of another player that has regressed so much from a promising start.

I don’t think Everton will get relegated but there’s going to be some hilarious turmoil and another sacking to come.

I'm not sure Fat Frank will last till the end of the season.

Not his fault though, same as Rafa, the players know they just need to be able to tie their bootlaces and they'll get paid so why bother with all this energetic running around and kicking the ball stuff.

Will be hilarious if Boreham Wood knock them out of the FA Cup.

Everton can't defend. Had one of the most defensive straight jacket managers lfc have had.

Appoint lampard who couldn't set cheslea up to defend. Hmm what do we think will happen?

Dele Alli dropped a 0/10 disasterclass. Can’t believe Spurs got £40m for him ffs
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well we may not now. Isn't £10m subject to whether he plays more than 20 games? Don't know if he will now.

They could go down, but there are other teams I would favour going down more. Too early to judge Lampard yet. They could have lost this game even if they were on a good run. Newcastle have looked better recently.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It’s £10m every 20 games - we will be lucky to get one instalment of that as he has basically decided to stop being a footballer. It’s mad to think he is only 25 and at 21 was being talked about being worth £100m
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spurs might get that tbf, thought Everton would go out to Brentford in the cup so there wouldn’t be enough games.

But they got through and play Boreham Wood next so for sure they’ve got at least two more games in the cup.

Even if it’s not till August they’ll get that money.

Lampard lost his first league game as manager - anyone remember the last Everton manager to do that?

posted on 9/2/22

If he’s not picked up and actually performing then he won’t play the 20th game, they’ll just bench the useless fracker.

Juvenile just did the exact same thing to Ramsey. If he’d played one more game he’d have triggered a year’s extension to his contract and that’s another £20m in wages.

Result - don’t pick him, bomb him out on loan and pay a large % of his wages.

They should have stuck with Rafa. They are in real danger of going down with Lampard.

As funny as it would be, I would be gutted if they went down. The derby games each season are part of football.

posted on 9/2/22

I dont think theyll go down. They've enough quality goimg forward to win another 5 or 6 before the seasons out with DCL back fit. I do think we will enjoy seeing them take a good few skelpings along the way though. Lampard is totally inept defensively.

Everton have a 3 point gap wellmafter half way point so officially they are in danger.

Only the one match in hand as well.

In the end they have the small consolation that it is not them or Newcastle.

Norwich appointed Dean Smith to be more "pragmatic" so that ought to worry everton.

Watford shouldn't be an issue as old Hodgson simply won't get wins.

Burnley can't score goals so their game in hand shouldn't worry.

Overall imo its everton v norwich and in that battle you have to back the blue noses.

Everton have Leeds next game, loser of that game is the one that is getting properly sucked in.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe so but Leeds have 22 points so really can go at everton for the win as it would then leave them handily placed for the final games given their gap to the relegation spots currently is 6

They certainly could be drawn in with bad form but so could Brentford I suppose.

In the end both probably only need 4 wins or something to be thinking its hard to be caught by the bottom sides
