It’s inevitable that WW3 will happen at some point. The simple fact that WW1 happened wasn’t enough to stop WW2 happening, and the atrocities of both WW1 and WW2 won’t be enough to stop WW3 happening.

It may or may not happen in our lifetimes. But it will happen. I have no doubt about that. Humans are driven by conflict, and conflict in and of itself can drive humans to excel. It’s a necessary and fundamental aspect of mankind. The downside (ultimate downside) is that it will lead to our own destruction.

Ukraine/Russia conflict May or may not result in WW3. Personally I’m beyond caring anymore. No one on this site has any dog in this fight, and no one on this site can influence the future. We are just pawns - expendable and worthless - and it doesn’t matter on bit what we think. The fate of us all does not lie in numbers that reach billions of people

The fate of us all lies and only ever will lie in a tiny percent. And that tiny percent do not give one ounce of shiiit about us.

To be fair Cloggie, the Dutch are trusted to do their job more than any other Military in NATO outside of the Yanks, Canadians and the British.

Still can’t see it myself. Russia would be utterly stupid to invade when they know the financial cost it will have on them if they do. They would be ruined. Still think it’s all a big tactic by Putin to get everyone talking. If Russia really wanted to invade they wouldn’t be still having these discussions
