I think that the fact you have to win the CL to even get the opportunity to compete for it means that when you do get the rare chance to add it to the collection, you should at least try to take it.
Being that it is the only trophy that we haven't won, personally I would like to complete the set if possible. Having said that If we don't, then I won't be losing any sleep over it either. I am more concerned with how poor our performances are currently.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, it's in the bag 69, back to proper business next week!
Need to be playing better than that for the run in though - badly missing Reece and Chilly!

Good evening Kitty, how are you?
All good here Brummie. Have to say I only watched the extra time.
You didn't miss that much to be honest!
In the end, because Palmerias were such a bunch of cheating kants the win means a lot more than I thought it would

Yeah, they dived for everything and in the most part the ref fell for it!
We were representing Europe...to lose it twice would have been an utter disgrace. And just imagine the comments of the spuddites here...happily we are spared that. Yes it meant much to me to win this tournament as we must win everything we can. Greed is great! COYB!!
Not a great game but well done World Champions
Love the touching comment from the commentator.... "and here comes the coach to pick up the trophy...lucky touch Thomas Tuschel".
I don't know who the commentator was ,but he kept getting the teams names wrong, and the players names mixed up, either he was drunk ,or I was !
Nah, total opposite . I've seen Chelsea do everything the last 25 years, even be in a relegation battle without being 100 y/o like yourself
Seeing us compete in this is something different being only the second time, a palate cleanser on a superficial entertainment level. Seeing us win it and complete modern football in the process was delightful

Agree with Biggish about Palmerias. Their antics were making the fact that they lost so much more enjoyable.

It's weird how desperate they are to win it!
I can say this now and nobody can say
"Bitter"
If I had to choose before yesterday, between winning that trophy or the upcoming League Cup final. I would choose the League Cup final every time.
I'm happy to say we've won every trophy possible to win. And I know there's a chance to win the league cup every season, but for me the League Cup is the bigger trophy.
As I've said in my Lukaku article, if someone could guarantee here and now that the most we'd finish behind City is the 13 points, (before they played yesterday) and we finish 3 and win the League Cup, I would accept that here and now.
How very magnanimous of you flash...

Because we are playing Liverpool, i think winning the League Cup is bigger, however i am not sure how i would feel if were playing someone like Burnley in the final.
It doesn't seem that everyone is totally underwhelmed,

I get that.
But the trophy does feel like a Charity Shield or pre-season "Makita" trophy. (For those that can remember 93)
Biggish am I too harsh on Lukaku in my article?
I kinda stray away from him a little when talking about how a 7 point lead turned into a 13 point deficit. But then (injury aside) I do think he's not been great. And I get that we've lost Chilly (rest of season) and Reece for an extended period. But still............

And to be fair not that many are as over whelmed as you are!
My take from yesterday's win is that if it annoys Spurs fans it's a great thing
And thank you Chelsea football club for realising my life dream of the full set in my 60th year
