No. You're allowed to registered new players for the next stage whether they have played for another club in the competition or not.

I think city city might have something to.say about that..

Yeah I think there's an upper limit of three new players but being cup tied is no longer an issue. Nor should it be either imo

The rules did change and I am not sure it is a good thing. The problem I have with it is richer clubs cheery picking the better players of potential opponents.

Its a rule change that while on the face of it seem reasonable imo opinion has the potential for misuse by uber wealthy clubs.

They have at least made a change to the loan rules which is coming into effect.

Within 3 years there will be a maximum of 6 loan deals out and 6 in that any club can do.

With exceptions for those under 21 who have been trained at the club for 3 years. That should stop the bigger clubs hoarding talent at least.

Players only get sold when both parties agree so clubs can resist offers for their best players from the big clubs if they wish. Always thought it was unfair a player had to miss the rest of the CL if theyd played for another team at an earlier stage. I get they know this before they leave so are rewarded financial when it does happen.
