He's a nearly man in cups. The number of lost S-F's and finals is a bit crazy.
He's crap in the Champions League.
He’s gone out early in cups loads of times as well. I think it benefits him as a league specialist, it’s not that often his team is playing lots of games during the run in.
It doesn’t make sense to me, though. A manager as good as him, managing the clubs he has, shouldn’t have as poor a record in cups as he does. I’ve never been able to work it out and it’s now just a meme.

I think because of his heavily automated football - it’s very effective (or should be) vs teams you are expected to beat. However I think it’s not as effective in the big games and his track record reflects that?
I dunno because they’ve been knocked out by weaker teams as well. And in Italy his record in the big games is good anyway. I don’t really know how to explain it.
