Nice try. Tottenham is only a small area of North London, and I don’t live there. Wolverhampton is a shiiithole in its entirety.

And don’t even get me started on that hideous accent.

You guys do realise there’s not a ‘correct’ answer to this question though right? It’s just opinions but some people are acting like others are idiots for thinking otherwise.

I think top four is more important this season. But in most previous seasons I’d have said otherwise.

Top 4

As much as I’d love to win the FA Cup... it’s not going to happen with the top 3 still left in the competition...

Bizarrely... we stand a better chance of top 4

Levy would then have to seriously strengthen the squad to compete in Champs League

Thus getting rid of the deadwood... who weren’t even good enough to compete in the Europa Conference League!!

FA Cup would do great things for psychology of the club and I think would make our brand more attractive to better players and more global fans.

FA Cup and Europa league qualification ahead of 4th Spot for me.

In terms of money

Our Champions League Final season of 2019 made us £87.5m in prize money alone.

Along with that there will be huge attendances and it is for that season when we posted £113m record profits.

In our new stadium i think we could expect to make even more money from a successful UCL run. Even in the following year when we were knocked out at the first ko round we made £62m in prize money. We make about £3m a game in the new place so even just 4 games gets us about £75m.

Its massive stuff. It has the potential to bring our revenues on par with Liverpool and we also have more potential to tap with sponsorships which UCL would really help.

I would love us to win the FA Cup, but it is more of an heart thing and right now i think we need a head decision.

Used to be a top 4 guy but after all the false dawns I'd rather take the cup and have something tangible to celebrate.

Unless there's a fundamental change of direction from ENIC top 4 won't make a huge difference as we won't build on it and will just fall back into the pack the following year or two.

I'd love the FA Cup this year. It would be just the lift the club needs and deserves. I think it's very possible as well.

As a club however, the sooner we get back in to the top 4, the better. If we don't get it this year, will Harry want to stay? As proven again on Saturday, we are screwed without him. And if he does go, who do you replace him with if all we can offer is the conference league? It's a tricky one.

Hopefully we achieve both though

Lets push for both

It's reached the point now where I'd rather the FA Cup

I want the likes of Kane, Son and Lloris to have won a major trophy with us

posted on 21/2/22

A couple of years back I'd have said top four as it supposedly brings in more money to then build a better team but does it? Really?

Before we got in the CL on a consistent basis, we spent relative peanuts on Lloris, Eriksen, Toby, Jan, Dele, Son, Walker and Dembele amongst others. Then the money flowed and we spent big on the likes of Sanchez, Ndombele and Lo Celso.

Getting the money in is no guarantee of bringing in better players if the recruitment system you have in place is atrocious.

We'd only want better players to give us a greater chance of winning trophies.

I just want to win something now and I think that's as likely to keep Kane at the club as any CL finish. The problem is that the City, Chelsea, Liverpool and United have such huge talented squads now that they've no need to prioritise. I know Leicester did a number on Chelsea last year but winning the Cup is probably harder than it's ever been, just as hard as finishing top four. (Not sure who out of those big teams are still in the cup this year to be fair.)

I think the best chance we have of winning stuff is (a) with Kane at his peak and (b) with Conte at the wheel.

If we get UCL, Kane will more than likely stay and maybe even sign a new deal.

If qualifying adds £50m into the transfer kitty, then that's another top quality player to add to existing budgets. Not only would we have the money we'd also have the attraction of offering UCL.

Its a bit last chance saloon for this Spurs. I think if we do not get it done its going to making keeping Kane difficult, keeping Conte happy difficult, and developing the depth of squad to match that of those who do win stuff very difficult.

Sad indictment of modern football but to win stuff we are better off focussing not on trophies but on revenues, and hope that this delivers trophies in teh longer term.

If the ultimate goal is to win trophies, surely you take the offer of a trophy?

Rather than some hypothetical situation where top 4 leads to trophies in the future

We have 3 fixtures upcoming inside 6 days. All of them away.
These games will decide if top 4 is a possibility.

Arsenal used to get top 4 a lot. Spurs have until recently. Look at us both now.

The media have done some job with this top 4 rubbish. Ironically, they destroyed Wenger for saying it's like a trophy.
