I'd say Ayling is too
He has looked completely fooked for ages before and after injury
I have a T-Shirt somewhere that says:
Beatings will continue, until morale improves.
"Too stubborn and clever?"
That's an interesting thing to write. Don't you like "clever" people, LIW?
Take a look at the fixtures from Leicester down!..
Most of the teams have to play Tottenham, Arsenal, ManU, ManC; Chelsea and Liverpool, that aside like us some have to play each other!..
I think we have 2 top 6 games left, others have more, why should they do any better than us?..
This season wasn't meant to be the easiest but I don't think we'll go down, and for those of you's that want rid, don't worry, Bielsa won't be here next season!..
Just looked again, we have 4 of the so called top 6 to come!.
But I still think we'll be ok!..
It’s time to cross everything and hope.
I think our set up is too unique for another manager to come in and improve things in a short space of time.
We know Bielsa is capable of turning around poor runs of form.
But I am worried. Very worried now.
Faith.. I just can't see where our next win is going to come from if Bielsa keeps to the same way of playing, setting up and selection.
Every Opposition till the end of the season will easily nulify Bielsa's style. We need a fresh approach in my opinion or else we will be relegated.
It is not too late if we adopt a more defensive style but if Radz and Co don't recognise the urgency soon it will be too late, especially as Bielsa's post match comments suggest he is going to carry on doing the same thing as last night and expecting a different result.
I'm not convinced the players buy into his methods any longer, other than to retain there place in the team.
What player would want to come to Leeds to be trained to destruction? For me some of our key players look shot, physically and mentally.
I agree with Faith though. Not sure at this stage someone new would have the time or resource to change things round. Buckle in and start hoping we can grab some results. It's only Spurs next ......
Whilst I agree Bielsa has turned around poor runs of form before he is most effective when he can have a good spell with the players on the training ground and we often see a better result after that time. However the schedule is punishing with games coming thick and fast and leaving little time to do that. Before that pivotal game against Norwich on the Sunday the Villa game has been rescheduled for the Thursday.
For the first time last night I wondered about the option of parting ways with Bielsa but then you go back to the point about the players almost being institutionalised into a way of playing and what tearing it up would look like at this stage.
I am pretty sure we did change our style at the back end of last season and it being very effective counter attacking vs Leicester away and others but we did have Phillips and Bamford available back then and no pressure as survival was secured and no crowds either.
It feels at the moment even if something clicks and we start scoring goals we'll still have defensive mistakes , set piece , man marking issues at the other end and lose or draw anyway.
It’s a great and effective style. However it needs personnel relative to its level of competition.
You have a system like this at even a mid table club like Wolves for example, you’d see amazing results. The issue with this team is largely to do with players being Champ standard.
Bielsas blame is there, but it’s off the pitch with his small squad ideology. He now has no options in depth and is cobbling together line ups.
For me a lot of the defensive issues are down to the midfield
At this level it's really not a good one. It's hung out to dry without Phillips.
Gallagher we went for and would have been a class cog in this side. They also went for the French lad who went to Marsailles
So they do know this. We try and attack and some of the options just cannot finish their chances. They can't keep the ball and then the defense just gets pummelled

Have to agree. We had a fairly solid looking midfield/defence last season. This season I cannot remember at any point thinking this (even when Philips was playing early season). A clean sheet seems like a distant memory.
You are right about the attack too. Even when we get into good situations we have nobody with the killer instinct who you are confident "he will score here"
All in all it is a very depressing situation
My stomach is still churning after last night. Mind, it didn't help when the ref seemed intent on punishing us from the off. Liverpool really didn’t need the help, they would have won without Oliver giving them 2 dodgy penalties.
I can’t see any positive results until KP is back - but he could be “rusty” for his first few games. Bamford has just disappeared - no idea when or if he’ll play this season (but he won’t be worried because he has just got a lovely new 5 year contract). It is just so depressing!
The club should have strengthened - both in the summer and January window. They actually weakened the squad - only Alioski replaced, Berardi and Hernandez just let go. Those two could have had contracts which paid when they played and would definitely have helped when we had so many injuries.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but the fans could see what was going to happen. The board have gambled with our Premier League status. Where did the 49ers’ extra investment go? Did it just make up for the lost crowds in 2020-21? Is the club really without funds?
So much for expanding the stadium - no chance. We need to build the squad with much better quality players over the next few seasons.
Bielsa was just what we needed, he brought stability to the club and we were treated to some wonderful, entertaining attacking football. He took us back up to the “promised land”. It would be sad if we went back down again whilst he is still in charge of the team.
Bielsa has certainly greatly improved such players as Phillips and Dallas - but quite a few of the team are now over 30 and I think the relentless fitness regime is taking it’s toll.
However, I think it is time for someone new next season, I just hope we are still in the Premier League.
