When this started i really didn't want to get involved but the more i read, the more i am convinced that it's a mistake for NATO to stand by.
It would be easier to help defend Ukraine than it will be in time to come to defend Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania and that time will come. Then we are duty bound to defend 3 small countries that Russia could roll through in a day and catch us cold. Where would that leave us having to fight an offensive war against Russia.
That's much more terrifying because when we start attacking Russian soil they become a lot more dangerous and unpredictable imo.

Come on, you're not seriously arguing that the BBC isn't just a state propaganda outlet? Just look at the Auditor General you were talking about. "Wholly independent of Government", yet appointed by the Queen on advice of the PM. Doesn't sound too "independent" to me.
Ofcom are a joke too. Barely do anything except soak up money for their executives, but just a quick glance shows they too are full of Tories, HoL members and other privately-educated Oxbridge graduates. I'm sure they'll be super impartial, especially the current one who's married to a Telegraph writer and banker.
But the Government-appointed regulators have reported to the Government and concluded that the Government-controlled media is perfectly fair and balanced, so all must be well!

Please research, (or bother reading the links provided) the structural/organisational/regulatory frameworks which underpin the BBC before commenting further.
Regular contributors to the politics thread(s) will attest I'm no fan of the Conservative party.
Nevertheless attacking the impartially of non-governmental entities (without evidence) only serves to enhance/encourage conspiracy theorists.

Without evidence? I presume you've never watched the BBC then? Or been on their website? Or seen who the Director General is? Or all of his staff? Or the political editor?
I just don't understand the naïveté that someone can read an article on the BBC that says it checks itself and assures you that it's on the level. Literally all state propaganda outlets do that (but I suppose the British one is different, because we British do things differently).
If you're wondering whether I'm biased or incorrect about the BBC, don't worry - I've checked with myself and I'm definitely fair and balanced. My mate says so too.

When this started i really didn't want to get involved but the more i read, the more i am convinced that it's a mistake for NATO to stand by.
It would be easier to help defend Ukraine than it will be in time to come to defend Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania and that time will come. Then we are duty bound to defend 3 small countries that Russia could roll through in a day and catch us cold. Where would that leave us having to fight an offensive war against Russia.
That's much more terrifying because when we start attacking Russian soil they become a lot more dangerous and unpredictable imo.
