Careful with the wording - Football Club owners can afford ruthless lawyers.
5 league wins in 26 games this season, says quite a lot
"Sacking a manager who’s never been in the bottom three with us, given our squad, is a complete joke.
Thanks for everything Marcelo."
Completely agree with your last sentence.
However, the sentence preceding it is completely factually incorrect. It has been repeated many times on this board over the last few days, but we were in the bottom three after we lost to West Ham on 25 September 2021.
Even though it is always impressive to see a man feeding off his emotions, we were being battered every week, our players had lost all confidence, and we needed Bielsa to either adapt or go.
He had already said he would not adapt. That only leaves one option.

Don’t be daft Wilko, message boards and social media will be littered with similar accusations and you can add my name to those. It would have been less of a gamble to have kept Bielsa than it is to bring in someone else to implement a new system for the remaining dozen or so matches.
..........however i do not agree with his sacking, the man has been a blessing for our club, we have bee treated to an amazing ride, for which we should eternally grateful. he has been staunch, forthright & a complete gent in all aspects of the game. the game could learn so much from this humble human being, but wiil it....i vey much doubt, bless you you & your family marcelo
You would have though he’d have learned from Marcelo Bielsa how to conduct himself with greater dignity at difficult times like these
Bielsa leaves with his head held high in that respect.
I truly he’d had Phillips and Bamford back so much sooner as I believe we would never have been in this wretched situation of uncertainly in the first place.
Did the club let down MB in the transfer windows?
Or do we believe MB didn't feel there was anyone
worth signing, so said no to new players? Or did the club tell MB we have a few peanuts would you like
us to buy someone, and then MB said don't bother,
we'll get sod all for that level of money.
I hope a journalist somewhere can get the true
story over our windows.
What was the alternative ?
Sadly, as things turned out, Bielsa refusing to change anything, even though Leeds shipped 20 goals in a month, form dropped like a rock in the ocean, this was the only outcome. Man vs man in defense just doesn't work in the PL. There is a reason no one else uses this.
Add to that a training regime that I for one, suspect is the reason for some of those injuries, and on top choosing to have a small sized squad, all resulted in his downfall.
We will all be forever grateful for what he has done. And thank him from the bottom of our hearts
Very well said Loidis...can't add anymore, other than I can put MB up there in the same league of legends as Don Revie, Bremner & co. Good luck and thank you Marcelo, you are a very decent human being.
Sad news.
We were never going to get many points with the Feb fixture list.
We've had it now.
Relegation to follow.
Wishing I wasn't Leeds right now.

wtf? toddle on then
Read somewhere that Kinnear wanted MB to see out the season but Radz and Orta wanted the change.
Absolutely disgusted with the club hierarchy Marcelo deserved so much more

ALAW? My first game was 1969. We've been through a lot worse since then. This is just another blip in the road. We stick together through thick and thin.
