It's a bizarre decision. You'd think they'd go with the keeper who was absolutely exceptional for about 120 minutes. And who , by the way , was very decisive in the shoot-out for his country in the AFCON final only 2 weeks ago

Kepa did a De Gea. Tuchel probably thought his supercup win meant he could get lucky again but the reality is Mendy is a far bigger presence in goal. Sort of reminds me of the Europa League final, many saveable shots for De Gea and Kepa in this League cup final.

Just cost them a trophy, two of those saves were easy saves any PL keeper, that one went straight through his hand was the equivalent of an open goal for a striker.

You know he missed it before he even started his run up too.

A lot of Villareal penalties were easy to save. De Gea did what Kepa did, make the goal very big.

He had 6 minutes in the final due to injury time and 9 mins in the world cup. So I guess those 3 mins made the difference.

He came on in injury time just to take a penalty and didn't touch the ball in the game. Came on as a tactical switch to win the game in the WC to avoid penalties.

Unless you’ve a real specialist specialist taker (Jorginho, Milivojević for example) then I don’t think you should be making subs with seconds left to bring them in.

Sancho, in particular was silly sub, Rashford less so as he’s usually ice cold penalty taker, didn’t he hit the post too?

Off topic, just watching dancing on ice on TV Holly willowatsit has uneven t!ts , would that create a problem in which one to suck first? Would you go higher or lower
