Huge news if true. Man Utd would likely have 40 league titles if not for Roman and Chelsea’s emergence. Also a key role in the pl becoming the best league in the world.
What a 20 years it’s been. And he never got bored!
Will miss him. Got into Football for the sport not the money.
He changed English football.
Without him bringing another team to compete with utd and arsenal the Premier league would more than likely not be the size it is today

I'll be disappointed if it happens but that article is a bit of a miss mash of at least two others I've seen and a bit of speculation. Hardly conclusive.
Distress sale so he won’t get his money back that easy, don’t mind Roman would rather it was the Saudi and AbuDhabi mobs selling up
He has probably clocked if he does sell that his peace talks arent gonna do anything. watch him bank that couple of bill and go live on a remote island somewhere.
Why is he being given the opportunity to sell? I thought the idea of the sanctions was to hit the oligarchs in the pocket, if they can simply sell their assets what’s the point?
No chance the government let him sell such a public asset.
It will get frozen first.
Perhaps Abramovich isn't considered sufficiently involved to warrant sanctions against him yet, and his positioning is insurance against that consideration changing

Going to be very hard for him to sell. As any buyer will not want to be seen as a front like the trustees he claimed to have handed stewardship too.

Labour MP Chris Bryant had questioned his (peace talks) claims as he has no diplomatic links to act in such a capacity, and it was an attempt to avoid being sanctioned. Which if true, has so far worked.
Abramovich was approached by ukraine. He clearly has putins ear.
That said i dont think putins gonna listen to anyone.
You could equally argue that his inability to make any visible difference that he does not have Putin's ear in any practical sense

Same reason he transferred his 28% of shares in the steel company that makes the Russian tanks from a Virgin Islands company directly to himself. 8 days before the invasion!!!🤔
Harder to sanction him personally, he’s Israeli now remember.
Tough line to walk between not getting sanctioned and avoiding upsetting Putin at the same time by not publicly supporting the invasion
If im abramovich im not speaking out against putin, its death sentence. Im assuming he wants to keep breathing.

The UK government don't want to set a precedent for future billionaire's being afraid to invest in your country. If this happens no rich guy from a non-western country wants to invest in the UK.
RA being mentioned in the house of commons at the moment, as a Home Office 'person of interest' as having links to the Russian government.
Johnson dodges the question.

Yeah, cos Putin gives a damn about formalities like 'the correct diplomatic channel'
He's one of Putin's puppets. There's not a dodgy or shady deal he's not been involved with I bet.
Even in his statement he made no comments about the situation in Ukraine. He stepped aside and allowed the club to do it. Shows you where his true loyalty lies.
The amount of Chelsea fans who are defending him is a disgrace. Trophies above everything? Is that truly your stance?
