Is this a spoiler thread? Asking for a friend.

Yeah go for it. I assume everyone venturing on here will have watched it.

Oh no it’s cool, the other guys in the Marvel article are doing an embargo til next week. So I’ll hold off.
But I gave it a 7.5.
Good shout for Colin. Like with Ledger, you just didn’t see him at all. Make up was amazing.

But the entrances of Riddler and Batman were pretty epic. The soundtrack in those scenes! Wooo.

Thought Riddler was ace, absolute facking nut job.

I was trying to place him for ages, didn’t know it was Farrell till the credits!

I’ll give it 8, and watch it again tomorrow.

Watched it last night and I loved it. It did not feel like a 3 hour movie at all. The pace of it was brilliant. Pretty much none stop action while maintaining the dark theme.

Pattinson pulled Batman off superbly. Also was glad we didn't have to go through the known story of having to re watch Bruce Wayne parents being killed and how he went from boy to batman.

Zoe Kravitz was a babe 😍 too

The pacing of the film was incredible. It definatley did not feel 3 hours.

I also really liked, that they essentially let the Riddler the win. I mean he really facked the entire city up by the end.

Who was he talking to in the prison at the end? Joker?

Class film. Great interpretation of a younger Batman, less polished being in his 2nd year on the job. Pattinson was great but Dano and Farrell were amazing. Farrells make up is just stunning. Dano was truely creepy and sinister. Zoe Kravitz was great too.

Gotta see it on the biggest screen possible with the best sound system for the Batmobile alone.

Yes. Not gonna lie though as much as I'm excited to see where Reeves takes the films I'm a bit jokered out. Batman's rogues gallery is vast so I hope we get s few we haven't seen on screen done well before.

With that said I think matt Reeves has said he would want to take a crack at Mr freeze next.

And with the city flooded that would make sense, they could do something with that.

Yeah, his rawness as both batman and the detective are done really well. When he jumps off building and crash lands was amazing, but also done with a good amount of humour.

That batmobile scene where he starts it up was arguably my favourite of the whole film.

I loved how they literally showed Danos insanity, not just this villain with an evil plan, he actually thought him and batman were friends, it worked terrifically well.

One casting that didn’t quite work for me is Turturro. Just can’t shake off him being Simmons from sector 7

Agreed with the Joker sentiment.

Penguin seems to have the power of the city now but can't him the sole villain

From the little I saw however I do think Reeves joker is going to have an exceptional look to him.

Looking forward to where they go with the penguin in his series.

I think it will map out where the city is gonna get carved up from the mob side of things and then films will focus on the batman gallery villains more.

Pleased for farrell though, he deserves that series.

Is it incredible?? Very good film, but not a better Batman movie than anything Nolan did.

No chance it's better than BB or TDKR.

You don't even really meet Bruce Wayne in 'The Batman' whereas BB's strength was that the filmmakers got you to care about Bruce Wayne as a person BEFORE he becomes Batman. In this movie there's no origin story and he's Batman for about 90% of the movie.

Nobody wants to see the Bruce Wayne story. It's well known what happened and I liked how they made minimum references to the past.

The film is called "The" Batman and it delivered that superbly. Loved how this movie went straight into action as Batman. None of this being in a well with bats, getting trained etc. Straight into the deep end.

The fact of the matter is that whilst 'The Batman' is very good, it's inferior to the Nolan movies. Simple as that.

Bruce wayne is the mask, batman is who he is.

We don't need to see another rendition of Bruce Wayne's backstory, we've seen it in every medium. It's done.

People want too see the batman.

It’s a very good movie. I love what they did with the footsteps at the beginning… but Nolan’s Batman movies are far superior.

OK but as long as we leave it here with you understanding that two of them aren't
