Cracking second half to the Real Madrid v PSG game, 16 minute hat trick from Benzema including 2 in 2 minutes to snatch the game away from Paris who were 2 nil up on agg.
Excellent game, PSG could not get in the other half for the last 20 mins, and some cracking goals, almost tops the Maidstone v Braintree game I went to last night

And 20 points for me in KoP
PSG have spent a fortune but always come up short in Europe. Benzema has been a good centre forward for years but seems to have gone to another level in his 30s

You must be some kind of witch. I had City to win 4-0 and PSG to win 2-1. Don't think I've got a single bloody point in this round.

PSG are just a mess generally of late and Messi is a shadow of his former self, as is Neymar and a few others they have there now. Thoroughly unimpressive in the league and squeaking wins more often than not.
Think I am topping the table for this week after today.
And yes Benzema just seems to keep improving, bit of a running joke with me and my lad that he can't possibly keep getting better but he does.
Show what sort of club Real are that they pretty much did nothing after he was found guilty of blackmailing a fellow footballer. Would like to think we wouldn't be so pathetic.
Looking at the league table now, we are marooned in 8th place with a 5 point gap to the team above us and another 5 point gap to the team below. The result tonight will probably decide if we are looking upwards or over our shoulder for the rest of the season
There are different levels of seriousness with hamstring injuries and Boly fell into the more serious level. But Bruno indicated yesterday that Semedo’s injury doesn’t look that serious giving hope he will be back well before the end of the season
A few decisions for Bruno to make on the team selection for tonight.
With Semedo and Hoever ruled out, I'm sure Jonny will return on the right. Bruno must decide if Kilman is in the right frame of mind to play. Difficult to believe his drop in form over the last couple of weeks isn't in some way influenced by the Ukraine situation. Most Ukrainian players with Premier League clubs have been left out of teams recently. If he is rested then that should open the door to Boly returning.
In midfield Moutinho wasn't at his best against Palace and that might lead to Dendoncker or even Cundle getting a chance tonight.
Up front I am certain Jimenez will return and Neto will keep his place as only games can get him back into form. Then its either Podence or Hwang on the other side. I'd edge towards Podence.
Looks like Chelsea are fooked, Abramovich has been added to the UK's hit list of Oligarks who's assets have been frozen. Sale on hold, wont be able to sell tickets beyond those season tickets already sold (dont know what that means for away fans). Merchandise operation and shop closed, pressumably any unsold corporate packages will no longer be available. Harsh on the fans but they've had a good run on the back of his wealth and I've no sympathy for most of them. And Ive no doubt that the sale will eventually go through in a way that Abramovich does not profit from.
But just read that the government have said the players and staff can be paid as it is a "significant cultural asset". Hmm.

As things stand there will be no away fans at Chelsea games until things change. Wolves are due there on May7. Hopefully be sorted by then. Can’t have sympathy for Chelsea or their owner. They have had more success than they should have had from laundered money
from the BBC:
More from Kieran Maguire on implications for Chelsea: “Chelsea’s wage bill is round about £28m a month. We don’t know how much cash they have in the bank. The most recent accounts we have are from June 2021 when there was £16m in the bank."
Kinell they are truly screwed if thats still the case. Show's how much they have been bank rolled. Just had a look on their website, no mention of the sanctions, ticket and merchandise pages still appear to be up and operational.
I wonder what Guo will think of the sanctions against Abramovich. Would we be seen as a good investment if he feels this could happen should UK and China relations sour?

well now we're debt free its more appealing
Maybe worth mentioning with regard to Chelsea's financial plight, they have over £1b invested in subsidiary companies including Property, Hotel, Car Parks and Merchandise companies

Must admit I was convinced this was on amazon because I thought they had the rights to all Boxing Day games which was when this was originally scheduled. But actually it was the games between Dec 28 and Dec 30 that Amazon were contracted for eg our game at Arsenal
I also thought this was on Prime.
