So looking at this…

No away fans at Chelsea, and no Chelsea away fans at other grounds?

(Except those that have already been sold?)
----------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------
No away fans isn’t fair on the teams left to play them away though

Chelsea get an unfair advantage

I can’t see how that works as financiers it hits chelsea but for the actual league that is not good
----------------------------------------------------------------------
isn't fair? wtf?........ people are dying.....ww3 is so close. we, usa & putin has nuclear weapons....and you want away fans ffs

You're misinterpreting my point on purpose so you don't have to face the truth. You've been brainwashed. Valid criticism doesn't exist anymore. Anything said about your club is jealousy and/or bitterness. Pathetic self defense mechanism Chelsea fans are using to avoid facing the truth.

Roman knew by buying Chelsea and bringing trophies he was also buying an army of Chelsea fans to defend and rationalise anything and everything about him. Shameless tbh. The rhetoric on here from Chelsea fans in the last two weeks will go into folklore. Chelsea fans will never live it down. Embarrassing and Shameless.

You're not being naive about how Abramovic made his money, you're being intentionally naive about how he spent it so that you can somehow rationalise that Chelsea and other clubs are the same. I'm not saying other clubs are angels but there's comparisons you can't make. Liverpool also have a billionaire owner who's never put a dime into the club, they're in it to eventually make money, not give away 1.5b. Whether you like it or not Liverpool's success is not built on money stolen from a sovereign state.

If 1.5b in money stolen from the Russian people was invested in my club, I wouldn't welcome it or celebrate it personally. It was easy for him to give 1.5b away because it was never his money anyway and he never worked for it. Easy come easy go.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not ignoring anything, you are. I made it categorically clear that ANY billionaire in existence has made their money through questionable means. ALL OF THEM. That, in case this still isn't clear to you, includes Abramovic. And the Glasers. And John W Henry. Nobody makes a billion from hard work. They make it by stealing something from somebody. The money that a billionaire has is tainted in all circumstances.

So our owner, and your owners, and City's owners, United's owners, Newcastle's owners...all have "stolen" money. But people that rich make the rules, they don't follow them. So they've redifined the rules to make it so that it's "legal" for them to have that money.

So I'm not rationalising shiite. I'm calling out the hypocrisy of attacking ONE of that group and saying in a pretty simplistic (and clearly tribal) way; "that person is bad, and should be punished. But my person is completely fine, and should be left alone".

Your attacking me for being naive is clearly projecting. And is a mask to try and cover your blatant hypocrisy. That smell around football permeates EVERYTHING. Because there is so much money in football these days that it's attracted the very worst kind of people in the world. And that's ALL the top clubs, including yours.

And the government has set a precedent now. A country does something they don't like, they can sieze the assets of literally anyone, apparently. So I'd be careful about gloating too much about this situation, because it should be scary to every right thinking fan that the government have given themselves the power to do this on a whim.

Yeah couple of things with this. We’re still the most successful side in England and have won more CL’s than any English club.

Detail what FSG have done that’s dodgy enough for the government to step in and take the club off their hands?

Yes, on a whim. Because if it was for a genuine reason; like say "being a nationality involved in bombing another sovereign state" you'll have to explain to me why Newcastle aren't now in the same state as Chelsea.

Or indeed all the other clubs that have had Russian money associated with them. Or indeed the Tory Party, that have had a TON of Russian money in recent years. But no, it's just Chelsea. So yes, "on a whim". Political grandstanding, rather than starting from any sort of moral standpoint.

Detail what FSG have done that’s dodgy enough for the government to step in and take the club off their hands?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Detail what Abramovic has done, then. Him specifically. What makes him different from all the other Russian billionaires that have pumped money in to football clubs, property and the Tory Party?

And no, simply stating "he has links to Putin" isn't enough. What links specifically? How do they differ from the dozens (hundreds?) of other Russian billionaires investing in the UK?

We've sanctioned 7. The EU have sanctioned 160. What criteria are we using to decide who does or does not get hit by sanctions?

Pretty clear what he’s done. Admitted in the high court to buying political influence and protection in Russia, has supplied Steel to make tanks used to invade Ukraine and yes has alleged close links to Putin.

Politically I’ve been calling out the influx of dodgy Russian money for a while. Same with Tory party donations from Russian billionaires.

So, apparently FSG and Roman are one and the same because they’re billionaires. What have FSG done to warrant the U.K. gov to take the club off their hands?

I just asked what Abramovic did specifically, and you came back with "alleged" links, buying political influence (which would make every billionaire and company complicit) and having a stake in a company with links to defence contractors.

So are we suspending operations of any club with "alleged" links to Putin? Any club with owners with links to defence contractors? Any club with owners that have provided funds to political parties?

That last one is especially amusing, bearing in mind that Abramovic is one of the Russian billionaires that HASN'T contributed to the Tory party.

So what this shows is that it isn't about what FSG has done, since this action has proved that the government can take this action just because they feel like it. Without consistency, with nothing more than innuendo.

In the meantime we'll be playing a club on Sunday who have owners with direct links to a country that is attacking and bombing another country. Yet they won't be under any sanctions. Odd, isn't it?
