Here it is. Wow!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Classic Ruben Neves stuff. And a classic example of how a loan spell can advance a young player's career.
Always been talented has Ronan and unlucky not to get more chances with us in the championship. Been outstanding by all accounts for St Mirren. Question is what level can he progress to. Do think next season he needs to get off the loan bandwagon and start building a permanent career with someone. Will Wolves give him a chance along with mgw
Everton have scored the same number of league goals as Wolves (28), but have conceded exactly twice as many as us (46, 23).
1-2
Just rewatched the Watford highlights. Surely Neves has to be the best player to don the Old Gold since Bully.
Wolves | Sa, Jonny, Kilman, Coady, Saiss, Marcal, Dendoncker, Moutinho, Neves, Jimenez, Hwang.
Subs | Ruddy, Ait-Nouri, Boly, Toti, Cundle, Chiquinho, Trincao, Podence, Silva.
Not sure about that, thought Ait-Nouri and Boly deserved another start, and Dendoncker for Podence?
Be interesting to see how Kilman responds.
I think he may have thrown this game away with that line up. I just don't understand why he would change a winning formula. I guess we'll have to wait and see if he proves me wrong - I hope he does.
Maybe he thinks that RAN and Podence deserve a rest after their exertions on Thursday. I can only think Neto must have taken a knock in training. Kilman back in for Boly is probably because he doesn't want Kilman to feel disheartened.
Without Neto, my starting 11 would be
Sa
Boly, Coady, Kilman
Jonny, RAN
Moutinho, Neves
Chiquinho, Jimenez, Podence
But hey, I'm a retired engineer not a football manager so what do I know?
Apparently more than the manager
Pretty weird selection unless there are things we don't know about.
Real surprise to see Marcal selected ahead of Ait Nouri and Hwang instead of Podence and Neto. Suppose Kilman is back because they think he isn’t distracted by the Ukraine situation and maybe too big a risk to ask Boly to play another 90 minutes just three days after his comeback. Hope there’s nothing sinister about Neto not being involved
Hmm, not sure about that line up, very defensive that against poor opposition. Bruno knows his players though I guess.
Disappointed.
Ait-Nouri doesn't seem able to play back to back games on a short turn around does he?
Hopefully this isn't Bruno being cautious but that seems a very defensive line up against an Everton side in disarray.
Neto has evidently picked up an impact injury on his foot. Not thought to be serious and they hope he will be available for the next game
One positive is that Calvert Lewin is ill and misses out for Everton
Evertons front line looks awful other than Richarlison.
Kilman can't cope with Richarlison
Yeah a rocky start defensively
Not looking good for Hwang, took a few heavy hits early.
Looks like Hwang will continue for now after upsetting everybody inside Goodison.
Everton swarming us right now, well up for this
