Sorry Stoopo, James incident was never a "nailed on" penalty.
As for the disallowed penalty, Ayling mistimed the tackle went to ground and their player went over on what was effectively an uneven surface. It was neither a dive nor a stamping incident. Ayling got very lucky.
Sorry else you are wrong, yes aying does miss time the tacke but he does not make contact and the player does stamp on aylings ankle and decide to go down
The James foul looked a penalty to me. Var didn't even look at it.

No he’s correct. In fact, had the boy put his full weight of his standing foot on his ankle ready for the shot it could have been a real bad one. Very lucky.
Just think you need to be a little more objective, watch the highlights on LUTV, the James "penalty" isn't featured (which it would probably have been had it been a penalty). Not sure how you could know for certain in the stands.
As far as the Ayling incident you can watch that. In real time it looked a penalty, the guys on LUTV thought it was one Ayling looked resigned to it being a penalty but VAR was right to over-turn it. To suggest it was a dive or even worse, stamping is ridiculous.

Of course it was a dive. In what way does standing on someone's leg make you wince with pain?
Look at his face, it tells you all you need to know.
I thought Norwich could have got a penalty first half when James made a challenge in the box. Haven’t seen it back but it looked one.
Cancels out the one at the other end in my opinion. One of those annoying ones that is a foul anywhere else on the pitch but never given in the box.
just reseem James.
if ref gives it, no way VAR overturns it
wasnt a penalty first half for them
and wasnt a pen second half
The Norwich player should have been booked for diving/trying to decieve the official. We got away with a couple. Harrison was a bit fortunate not to walk after a double clash with Aarons whilst on a yellow and Bamford was offside in the build up to the goal but he didn't interfere too much so maybe it was right to allow.

Clear dive that one. Should have been booked. I honestly think we had a shout with the James one for us. Would have been soft but seen ones like that given. Should have at least gone to VAR.
Didn't think the James one was a penalty. Thought between them VAR and the ref got all the big decisions right, but the onfield ref was otherwise pretty poor.
There disallowed penalty was a clear dive. I’m not saying he deliberately stamped on Ayling but he did stamp on his ankle - then dived as if he’d been tripped. Never a penalty in a million years.
As for the James incident. It was a massive call and in my view should have been shown in the highlights. Mike Deane on VAR probably tells you why it didn’t get looked at.

yeh... standing on someone's foot can very definitely make you fall over.... but it doesn't leave your face contorted in agony
thought on balance, (unusually) most things evened themselves out yesterday
Good to see that despite technology fans can still argue the toss about decisions - and quite rightly. Part of the fun of the game.
I'm just gutted I missed the match ....
Maybe I should miss all home games, I must be a jinx!?!?! double

I'm not sure which aspect of this makes me happier?
Meslier's ridiculous pass? Joffy winning the header
and getting it to Raph? Raph of old's brilliant skill?
Joffy's finish? Joffy's celebration? The celebration in
the crowd? Meslier running the length of the pitch and
piling on top of it all? The crowd going effing mental?
Can watch that for days. Glorious moment.

Thank you LST for posting this very special and beautiful moment that has let's hope begun our journey to survival..I have saved this on my drive and shared anongst my Man City and Man U friends...even they loved it.
I enjoyed MOTD last night, we were the top match obviously, and it was interesting the take on our opening goal and the new interpretation of the offside rule which I didn't know had changed yet again.
Bamford's involvement in the lead up would definitely have been deemed interfering and offside before luckily for us they changed the rule whereby Bamford would have had to have challenged the defender heading it away or touched the ball before Rodrigo scored, which luckily he didn't so it was correctly deemed a legitimate goal.
Things like that going our way and Bamford returning, KP and Cooper not too far behind, is a good sign that the club has turned a massive corner and can get out of this quagmire of a relegation scrap and build for a much more successful 3rd season in the Premier league.

Sol, cheers for that. Doubt seeing it from any angle will ever get old. What a great memory that moment is.
The more I watch it too, the more I think Raph's back.

Real, you just proved any angle, any format is fabulous.
Joffy's face and expression perfectly illustrates how it feels to win a massive game. Unbridled joy. Brilliant.
