Firstly I had no idea that there were so many Chelsea fans on this forum as apart from CFC's attendance/stadium envy articles we don't here much from them. Then I remembered that they normally hide away on the para olympic thread (or such like).
Secondly the whataboutery from them now that have come out to play is hilarious. They would come across alot better if they just accepted that they've had nearly 20 years of winning trophies courtesy of a very dodgy Russian who should never have been allowed to buy them.
My advice is stop trying to discredit others and take ownership of the situation.

Your owner is a tax exile worth billions who, rather than pay adequate tax chose to sponge on the taxpayer with the furlough scheme.
Stones, glass houses comes to mind.

I'm a Liverpool fan, our owners were a huge part of the ESL and also were a part of the reason major league baseball got locked out for the last few months over money squabbles.
No owner is perfect, but no football club should be judged on their owner.
It's just the shameful act of using a war to have a pop at Chelsea fans.
I suspect this is an angle to get them to relax the limits placed on their spending.
Doesn't make them look great though imo.

Brilliant response from Boro.
I hope this carries on in club statements.
'Chelsea FC are officially offended and mildly surprised at Middlesbrough's response to our request. Which wasn't even to them, anyway.'

If anything RA is getting a special relaxation of the sanctions to carry on in any form whatsoever.
Sanctions means sanctions.
"BBC sports editor Dan Roan
Within government I am told by one senior source that there is "exasperation" at what was described to me as a "tin-eared request" by Chelsea to play the match behind closed doors.
Officials feel they are bending over backwards to allow Chelsea to play with a special license when other businesses in similar circumstances would not have received such assistance, and that they have been listening to the club's concerns.
But the feeling within Whitehall is that Chelsea are now trying to penalise other clubs for the predicament that they are in, and are mystified they are prioritising tickets and travel arrangements.
I am told Chelsea wanted more than 4,000 fans at Middlesbrough rather than the 500 they were due to have, and that this is seen as "throwing their toys out of the pram" at the first opportunity.

'Respect for authority therefore at an all time low. Not to mention broken treaties which Russia has to swallow with no objection.'
I pulled him/her/them up on it too, and they didn't deny it either.
There are a lot of CFC fans learning stuff they have been in denial about throughout. None of it good.
Just face it, the Chelsea posters here have made utter fools of themselves these last couple of weeks over this.
One of them actually had the audacity to post that 'no one complained about Abramovich's money when Chelsea started buying their players'.
I mean, just utter ignorance.

They have already had their limits relaxed for money spent on home games, from 500, to 900 grand a game.
This nonsense is just a pathetic display of pure arrogance, and whoever came up with it, needs sacking. 😅
Senior govt source:
"We are working around the clock to enable Chelsea to continue operating as a club in the interests of the fans. This statement threatening Middlesbrough and the rest of the football league shows they do not seem to understand the seriousness of the situation they are in, being owned by an entity that has been sanctioned because of links to a person responsible for appalling acts in Ukraine. We are not opposed to Chelsea having fans at games in the long run, but we will not allow money from ticket sales to flow to a sanctioned entity. Chelsea should spend less time worrying about having a few thousands fans at one game, and focus on moving their club into the hands of someone who isn't linked to a warmonger."
