Hate to be a negative Nancy but I can’t even see us beating Arsenal, even at home.
Not saying they’re that great but I just don’t think we’ll turn up. Just a feeling.

I’m feeling quite nervous, but you never know!

As long as our lot are at least up for it, I won’t complain (too much)

Most important NLD for a while that’s for sure.

Yeah the game has the importance of a cup final and we know how we do in those usually. Need our big players to turn up.

When are Arsenal gonna stop being afforded favours by the opposition. They’ve been gifted goals by so many goalkeeper or defensive errors lately it’s unreal. Leeds have been a total mess. What the eff was Ayling thinking too?

At least 5th is Europa and not that nonsense we were in this season!

Does it matter whether it's Europa or Conference, we never do well in either.

It's already embarrassing that West Ham got further than us in Europa.

Even when we take it seriously we are soooo bad

We seem allergic to anything other than champions league in europe

We have made a good account of ourselves in that when in it

Not sure what the problem is other than the players thinking it’s beneath them?

I think a lot of it comes down to prioritising top 4, a message that has come from Levy and filtered it's way down to the manager. The club and managers have wanted CL more than anything and Europa has taken a backseat as a result. That's my take anyway.

One way of looking at it is we have a better chance of winning the Europa and any suggestions the CL attracts better players just isn’t true. Look at our history. We’ve bought better players on a budget than we have when we’ve had CL money to spend. It sounds like I’m clutching at straws but it’s true. The only downside is possibly losing Kane and/or Conte. That said, if city get Haaland, where the hell does Kane go?

I know!

I just see it as more games, and games I might be able to get a ticket for!

We need to be in Europe though.

Nothings really changed, we still have to win all our games!

Europa is sort of a Catch 22 for us. We might have more chance of winning it because it's the easier competition, but the club doesn't really turn its focus to trying to win it, and just by being in it lessens our chances of finishing top 4. We've shown we have more chance of winning the CL than Europa, and we've also shown we have more chance of top 4 when we have CL, or no European football at all.

Conte doesn’t do Europe. You ain’t winning the Europa or CL (if you qualify for it). And yea I know, we aren’t either.

Europa is good and bad. If the squads small and winning it is unlikely then it's good to just give squad players and youth players game time, whilst concentrating on top 4.

It's a big commitment with a small squad to commit to going for the cup whilst trying to get top 4 and one that can backfire. Guess u gotta risk it for a biscuit but unless spurs get quite a few in I'd not let it become a distraction from the league.

There is more pressure on Spurs than on us to win Thursday.

I just think it’s good for experience, playing in Europe has to be a habit for the top teams.

Yes, we need to win, no doubt about it.

We need a lot better squad than we have atm to even compete in Europa , just can't see Levy sanctioning funds to get us to Champions league level, needs major investment or could be embarrassing

That’s one way of looking at it but our game plan is clear, yours isn’t. When you’re caught between two stools like that, it can go wrong. Play for the draw? That’s dangerous.

We want to win this game of course. But neither a draw or a defeat doesnt end our top 4 chances.

The situation plays pretty much into Arteta's hands he likes this sort of game we can setup to be compact and leave no space in behind. Tottenham pretty much don't have anything else to offer without that space in behind. If we had to chase the game then that's different. You have to make all the running.
