Van Persie. Better footballer and far more prolific.
Drogba, for all his big game moments, wasn't that clinical in front of goal and his numbers show it.
Drogba for me.
Van Persie great shot power and accuracy, decent hold up play and passing.
Drogba great shot power, good accuracy and great hold up play.
Neither prolific goalscorers in the PL. I know Van Persie only scored more than 12 goals twice in his PL career. Drogba probably similar, although I'd say outside of goals Drogba did more for his team.
Drogba never took pens. Could easily have taken have of Lampards goals and added to his total.
Drogba for me.
Van Persie for me. Technical better than Drogba.
Drogba.
More reliable over a longer period and the ultimate big game player.
Van Persie was more pleasing on the eye but mostly a flat track bully
The one that played for the team I support. I understand that others may disagree based on the team they support.

Drogba peak was better than peak Van Persie
He was a beast and would win games on his own for Chelsea with his strength and hold up play
Van Persie was a good finisher but that’s all I remember
He had what 2 good seasons ? 1 at Arsenal and 1 at United
Neither were great goal scorers other than flash in the pan seasons but Drogba was a proper team player
He annoyed me with his girly antics but I was jealous he didn’t play for Tottenham
Was never jealous of Van Persie though …never got the hype
Drogba was better in the air, and better with his back to goal (not to say RvP was bad at these). That's it for me, RvP beats him in pretty much every other aspect of the game.

How many great seasons did drogba have? Bear in mind van persie had lots of injuries
Drogba was a big game player. While RVP was a superb technician and a classy footballer, Drogba was more of a force of nature who stood up to be counted when needed. His diving though, for such a powerful man, was so bloody annoying though.
Sigh. Van persie was also a big game player.
Van Persie was better. Not hard to see if you understand footie.
Van Persie peak but Drogba longevity.
Neither prolific goalscorers in the PL. I know Van Persie only scored more than 12 goals twice in his PL career. D

RvP had a 1 in 2 PL goal rate (96 in 194) for Arsenal (first few seasons as a kid breaking through as well, so not many starts.)
At United it was better than 1 in 2 (48 in 86)
7 seasons he hit double figures in the PL, including a run of seasons of 9 in 16, 18 in 25, 30 in 38, 26 in 38, 12 in 21 and 10 in 27.
Prolific he most definitely was - fit he most definitely wasn't for most of it.
Drogba was close to 1 in 2.5 games.
RVP, but this is a better debate than the Drogba/Henry one.

Who has been having that debate?!
It could only really be Rooney v Henry. No other player is really worthy of mentioning in the same sentence as Rooney.

Debate is probably a strong word. But there are Chelsea fans that have said Drogba was better, and then everyone else laughed.

I’m bias but Kane is better now than Rooney ever was
I don’t expect United fans to agree and that’s fine
Henry was the ultimate for me though ….as I’m not that bias and I recognise class
Van Persie is on the level of say Robbie Fowler ….very very good strikers but not world class
Henry
Kane
Rooney / shearer…both class
Drogba
My top 5
RvP averaged a goal every 140 minutes he was on the pitch in the PL
Drogba averaged a goal every 169 minutes he was on the pitch in the PL.
Drogba and Messi the only players I’ve hated Arsenal playing against cos it was an instant loss. RvP was good, his peak as good as Drogba but he was also injured a lot.
I’ll take Drogba, I don’t think there are many players during his era apart from Messi and Ronaldo who were so influential in big games.
