Correct.
My understanding is that five groups will be guaranteed to have two European teams, while the other teams can't play someone from their own continent. So you won't have two Asian teams in the same group etc.
I'm sure it'll all be very complicated, as these draws always seem to be.
Whoever gets Qatar in the R16 and QFs is gonna get facked sideways. Hope it's Germany, seems '66 is the only time ever they've been mugged off by the refs. They're due one.

Maybe. But imo not awarding so much as a foul when Schumacher almost killed Battiston in the 1982 semifinal went a long way towards settling the debt.
