He's not a loser and he has bottle. He's won 3 ranking titles in his career. He's had back problems in the last few years. He's gotten back to the form we know he's capable of and was very close to getting back in the top 16.
Did he have his back problems when he lost in Gibraltar with what was at stake? Lacks a back bone for me.. But he's in good company... Not many snooker players have bottle when it absolutely matters... The top boys have it, Selby, Robbo, Judd, Higgins, Ronnie, Williams have it
Who would you want Judd avoiding in round 1? With Ronnie I want him to avoid Carter..
Nope he didn't have back problems in Gibraltar, he was a bit unlucky losing that semi final against Kyren. He's still a decent player though, he's never going to be a top top player but definitely one that should really be a regular in the top 16.
I'd like to avoid Ding, Carter, Maguire.
Joe Perry will be tough too... Leave him to Selby who beat him in round 1 a few years ago
Yes Perry will be tough. He also beat Judd in the Welsh Open final last month
That will give him confidence
Maguire & Gilbert safely through,
Fan Zhengyi lost 6-5 to Chris Wakelin.
Ding through, Kurt Maflin out
Theppy through Gould out.
Ding is playing David lilley in the final qualifying round, surely surely Ding can't lose that can he?
Ding can throw in a bad one at any time, just hope he gets through. So many well known names in the 3rd round, never mind the final one.
Maguire v Zhou Yuelong and Gilbert v Hamilton just 2 of the picks
Dott made a maximum break.

sad to see Ding outside the top 16, and having to qualify for the 1st round proper
It helps the better players that the last qualifying round is best of 19
Peks, last time he did that he reached the final & narrowly lost to Slowby

didn't realise he had to qualify that year !
Dott wins 6-1, Hossein Vafei wins 6-0 against Simon Lichtenberg and Jamie Clarke stunned Gary Wilson 6-0.
Gary Wilson is a very good player, & former semi finalist
Ding will end up with Ronnie...
