The exciting thing for us is the prospect of CL football and being able to spend more in the summer given how successful Ange has been so far in the 2 windows he's had. The carrot of auto CL also is going to certainly appeal to better standard of players.

The league is not over yet. We've seen it being turned round before but it would take a collapse from us and I don;t think anyone would expect to see that happening.

Not playing euro qualifiers all summer before the league starts would to be a fckin god send btw Those games are a severe stress and nightmare to get through, more often than not failing and having a bad football hangover for weeks off the back of them.

If Celtic seal the job though the board will be gutted to lose out on 3/4 rounds of qualifying ticket sales so the CL group stage package price will be wild

All firmly IF's in my mind though. One bad result and I'll be back to knots in the stomach! Win next Sat ad we can shill out in the league for a couple weeks with a healthy advantage and a massive cup game to look forward to...........plus the return of Kyogo.

A bonus of early qualification in a normal year would be taking part in the high profile and high paying pre-season tournies in US/ Asia against top 5 league teams. With leagues starting early to accommodate the WC I'm not sure what will be happening?

brilliant result yesterday, we weren't at our best but didn't need to be

Starfelt, CCV, Taylor, McGregor, Rogic (no idea why he took him off) Maeda & GG were all very good, Bitton was brilliant when he came on

stonewall penalty on Maeda

Thought Rangers were hopeless, all they did was lump balls into the box, your 1-0 up after 2 mins the place is absolutely bouncing and they make an erse of it, expected more from them

league isn't over yet but I think if we win on Saturday to go 9 clear Rangers might drop points on Sunday

But we should also be looking to set up with some tactics for the cup final, simply cannot play the same way against Celtic in two weeks. I’d honestly play Itten over Roofe in cup semi, he’s at least capable of standing up to a challenge and staying onside. That or Sakala through the middle with Roofe on the right.

Itten is rotten no point in playing him.... best bet if we have to play roofe up top is the 3-5-2 . Roofe aint a bad player he just isnt a lone striker as he lacks the strength or pace to occupy the back line on his own. he needs someone up there with him to play off.

That and the fact our tactic yesterday was to pass wide for hit and hopes into the box, Itten would have been more of a nuisance than Roofe for the 30 or so crosses.

We have went 3-5-2 plenty of times this year so not a massive change IMO and gamble.

I havent seen any evidence that Itten can do the lone striker role any better than roofe and for a guy his size he doesnt use his body at all.

If we are gonna put balls in the box which would happen a lot with two wingbacks then you need bodies in there and the 3-5-2 would allow that.

What would be a gamble and stupidity at its highest is A bringing in a player we know isnt good enough, or playing the same striker in the same system that has shown isnt good enough.

If Alfredo isnt back for Braga I would shocked if we played them with the 4-2-3-1 system.

If Gio plays the same system as yesterday with Roofe up top on his own then Gio can go, I can accept msitakes being made, especially in the first season but if he doesnt learn from them mistakes then he aint good enough.

CCV would worry me more than you getting Jota.

He's been massive in all but his stature this season. If you had Starfelt and Julien together we wouldn't be conceding the league this morning that is for sure.
