About deducting points for the bottle, let's not get carried away.
You can't be retrospectively found guilty if the rule doesn't exist yet.
It would be a positive message to control behaviour in future. But the backlash would be too great. Write a by-law if there's support. But the issue here should be addressed through better security at games, I think.

I'm not in favour of any points deduction for idiot fans doing stupid stuff, the club's all have them and there is very little they can do to stop bevvied, coked up erseholes doing what they do?

As for Paddy I loved him when he was here but he'd probs toil to get much time atm, of Jota doesn't stay then I'd maybe like him to get a bash?

Hasn’t Postecoglou thrown out the idea of taking Roberts back?

Think it’s just lazy paper talk. As usual.

On a completely different tangent :

The NFL has announced that as of next season EVERY team MUST employ at least one woman and /or minority into their offensive coaching teams.

The Oscars have announed that they will no longer accept or nominate any films that do not have enough black, gay or disabled actors in them for awards.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Unreal.

It should be the right PERSON for the job, no matter what.

If 9 white men or 9 black women are by far the most qualified, why should positive discrimination make the company employ a minority, just to get their 'good' numbers up?

Don't get me started on nepotism and cronyism.

S.Africa implemented a ‘positive discrimination’ policy many years ago and it was a disaster. Incompetent appointments led to errors, and poor quality work and service at at levels.

Over 70% of folk who get a job already know someone in the company.

Often they are blood / extended family relations.

Many are rubbish - but get the gig cos they're connected.

We see it in business, government, and public services.

Uncounted talented folk with no role model or connection miss out.

The key is role model.

Yeah I could do that cos someone like me does that.

If they make an rse of it white males have been doing that for yonks.

Saw this in action 20 years ago across the pond. Irish was a category, Scottish wasn't even though we had about 100 of the former and 5000 of the latter but then a lot of 'murcans think more about ancestry.

It never transplanted across here. We had to tell them we couldn't hire anyone black if we tried, there were simply nobody qualified. We were supposed to score our departments diversity and get a certain average.

Anyway there were hundreds of individuals across the pond that scored lots of points and could transfer to almost any job they wanted they were in such demand. Disabled, lezbo, black woman was like a triple word score in scrabble. Everyone knew who they were and why they were hired but it was a shambles because they got little respect. You had to have them in management positions too so there were quite a few incompetents - mostly shunted out the main tasks.

Loved having diverse people in the team if they could do the job but fack contriving it - hiring the best should mean that.
